The Savings, Investments & Bancassurance Data Fabric team is on a mission to build a modern, scalable data platform in Azure. As a Data Engineer, you'll work with the latest technologies to create a next-generation data lake and help shape the future of data-driven decision-making at NN Bank.
What you are going to do
As a Data Engineer, you play a pivotal role in bridging the gap between data engineering and data analytics. You ensure that business-critical reporting and analytical capabilities remain available by providing a secure, stable, and sustainable data environment. In this role, you design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines and data products that support business, operational, and regulatory processes. You integrate data from a wide range of internal and external sources using both batch and real-time approaches, while continuously optimizing performance, reliability, security, scalability, and cost efficiency.
You will also contribute to the modernization of data platforms and applications, help onboard new data sources, and implement robust data quality controls and monitoring processes. By enabling data delivery through databases, APIs, files, and real-time integrations, you ensure that trusted and timely data is available for both customer-facing and business-critical initiatives. Working closely with architects, analysts, product owners, and other stakeholders, you translate business requirements into sustainable technical solutions while contributing to automation, disaster recovery, governance, compliance, and continuous improvement across the data landscape.

- Design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines and data products
- Integrate and manage data from multiple internal and external sources
- Ensure data quality, security, governance, and regulatory compliance
- Support the migration and modernization of data platforms and applications
- Collaborate with business and IT stakeholders to deliver reliable and future-proof data solutions

- Salary between €4,324 and €5,765 (based on a 40 hours workweek) depending on your knowledge and experience

Who you are
You are a passionate Data engineer with already some years of experience, and you have the consultancy mindset to always keep learning, improving and identifying opportunities and take actions. You are a real team player with a hands-on attitude and flexibility to deal with changing priorities in a dynamic environment.
You also have:
- Bachelors in computer science, engineering, finance, or a related field
- 2 years of experience in data engineering
- Experience with data governance, metadata management, and security controls in regulated environments
- Familiarity with DevOps practices, and CI/CD pipelines
- Proven experience in Databricks, SQL for complex transformations and performance tuning, Python experience for data processing and automation, Working on Azure cloud platforms &ETL orchestration tools (e.g. Azure Data Factory)
