Job Description
Quality Engineer Date: Oct 07, 2026 Location: NL Company: Trespa Quality Engineer When a quality issue escalates, how do you find the real cause with evidence rather than assumptions? And how do you translate data into sustainable quality improvements? At Trespa, that is the core of the Quality Engineer role. You bring structure, analytical rigour and statistical expertise to complex quality challenges. When production issues arise, you help teams identify the true root cause by determining which data is needed, how it should be collected and which hypotheses should be tested first. You don't take ownership of the problem itself; you ensure decisions are based on facts rather than guesswork. Reporting to the Manager Engineering, you work closely with Production, Quality, R&D and our process and project engineers. You combine advanced data analysis with practical investigations on the shop floor and help strengthen the problem-solving capabilities of production coordinators and quality specialists across the organisation. Your role: When quality issues escalate, these investigations take priority. You support cross-functional teams by designing and guiding the investigative approach, using data and statistical methods to separate facts from assumptions and drive effective decision-making. Over time, you help elevate the organisation's capability to perform structured, evidence-based problem solving independently. Beyond escalations, you monitor quality performance across our production processes, investigate recurring deviations and identify opportunities for improvement. You assess whether quality specifications, inspection methods and supplier requirements are relevant, measurable and capable of consistently delivering the required product quality. Together with the business, you develop and implement improvements and verify their effectiveness. Depending on the scope, you may also lead improvement projects yourself. Your responisbilities: Lead the analytical approach to complex quality investigations and root cause analyses. Use advanced statistical methods to identify, substantiate and verify causes of quality deviations. Monitor quality performance, identify trends and translate findings into structural improvements. Assess supplier Certificates of Analysis (CoAs) and develop systematic monitoring of raw material quality. Establish consistent inspection methods, assessment criteria and quality standards across production processes. Work with R&D and other stakeholders to evaluate specifications and support evidence-based improvements. Support the development and validation of automated defect detection and quality control methods. Align quality expectations and assessment practices across relevant Broadview companies. Collaborate with Production, Quality and Engineering to implement and sustain improvements. What you bring: A bachelor's degree (HBO) or university degree in a technical, engineering or scientific discipline. Strong knowledge of applied statistics, including SPC, process capability analysis, regression techniques and Design of Experiments. Experience with root cause analysis and data-driven problem solving in a manufacturing environment. The ability to translate complex analyses into practical recommendations and measurable business results. Strong communication skills and the confidence to challenge assumptions constructively. Good command of Dutch and English. Experience with Python for data analysis and automation is an advantage. Willingness to travel to Italy approximately once per month. Why Trespa? Working at Trespa means choosing a future with a stable, innovative and people-focused company where you can truly grow. We offer you: An attractive package of employment conditions; 28 days’ annual leave and a fixed monthly ERV allowance of 4.4 per cent; Annual salary increases based on performance; An attractive annual bonus scheme; An annual wellness allowance of up to €200; A bicycle lease scheme; And you will be working in an international and innovative working environment.
