We have an exciting opening for an Analyst, Portfolio Management in Amsterdam, within the European Separate Accounts team. You will work directly with internal and external clients, side by side with senior professionals, learning how we build long-term relationships by putting client needs first while developing the acumen for a career in investment management. Your primary role is to support Portfolio Managers in managing separate account client portfolios, which span all major sectors (offices, retail, logistics, residential) on a European or global scale. The role is broad, offering involvement in a variety of activities across multiple clients, from day-to-day operations, reporting and model updates to acquisitions and dispositions, as well as helping to shape client portfolio strategy. You will liaise with local transaction and asset management teams to ensure the investment strategy is implemented and performance is optimized. Beyond your core responsibilities, you will work with the wider EMEA separate accounts team and play an important part in strategic projects, such as structuring complex, large-scale portfolio and platform deals. Your key responsibilities: Support portfolio construction, ongoing asset monitoring and client reporting, including quarterly reports and client presentations Monitor portfolio performance and participate in the review of acquisition and disposal processes, understanding the forecast returns and risks of individual investments and staying aware of issues that may impact portfolios Own client investment data in the client investment plan and databases Track relevant client and investment performance data, including reviewing the portfolio forecasting model and analyzing individual assets in detail by assessing and approving asset business plans Assist with client and internal information requests Work on Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) strategies and their implementation Requirements / Person Specification Master's degree with strong financial skills, ideally in accounting, economics, finance or real estate Affinity with real estate, ideally with some (internship) experience in a real estate investment or investment management environment High attention to detail and a quick learner, with a thorough understanding of financial modelling and a high level of proficiency in Excel Ability to deliver efficient, timely, reliable and courteous client service, present information effectively and handle sensitive issues with care Critical thinking, initiative and sound judgement, combined with constructive problem-solving and strong organizational skills Team player, comfortable working in a cross-cultural, multi-disciplinary environment Excellent written and verbal communication skills; fluency in English is required, and fluency in another language is an advantage Interest in and ability to work with AI tooling is an advantage Willingness and ability to travel within Europe What we offer you! Core Responsibilities
Support portfolio managers in constructing and monitoring European and global real estate separate-account portfolios, including client reporting, investment data management, forecasting, and analysis of asset business plans. Review acquisition and disposal processes, respond to information requests, help implement ESG strategies, and collaborate with transaction and asset management teams on portfolio strategy and strategic projects.
Requirements
A master's degree with strong financial skills is required, ideally in accounting, economics, finance, or real estate; real estate investment or investment management experience is advantageous. Candidates should have strong financial modeling and Excel skills, attention to detail, sound judgment, organizational and communication abilities, fluency in English, and the ability to work collaboratively and travel within Europe.
