Beschreibung der Stelle: Do you want to work with advanced test installations at ESTEC, the technical center of the European Space Agency (ESA) in Noordwijk? As Test and Maintenance Engineer (HBO) – Space and High Tech (m/f/d)you are responsible for preparing, performing and supporting mechanical tests on components, subsystems and complete systems up to satellites in ESAs Space Test Centre. You will work with specialist installations for, among other things, vibration, acoustic and shock tests with unique test facilities for space. A technically challenging position in which you directly contribute to complex international space programs. Tätigkeit: Perform acoustic, vibration, shock, and mass-property testing in accordance with applicable test requirements Plan and execute test preparation activities, including instrumentation, setup, verification, and readiness of test equipment and facilities Perform and document facility maintenance and calibration Identify and report test or equipment deviations, lead root-cause investigations, and implement appropriate corrective actions, including corrective maintenance measures Support the maintenance, modification, and upgrade of test facilities, liaising with suppliers and consultants and coordinating third-party activities on site Collaborate with international customers and multidisciplinary test teams on complex space programmes and industrial projects Contribute to continuous improvement by providing suggestions and participating to Lesson Learnt reviews Voraussetzungen: MBO-4 Techniek /werktuigbouw/mechatronika/luchtvaart/service en onderhoud or similar Practical experience with mechanical testing and measurement systems Good knowledge of vibration and acoustic testing facilities for components, subsystems, and complete systems Basic knowledge of electrical systems and diagrams, with the ability to troubleshoot Ability to work independently in accordance with applicable processes, standards, and requirements Fluent in English, both written and spoken; willingness to work occasional shifts and Saturdays Ziele: Ensure that the mechanical test facility performance is according to specification by maintaining the equipment and tools as planned. Ensure that tests are performed in a timely and efficient manner, in the right configuration by providing operational support during test and facility preparation. Ensure that 3rd party suppliers efficiently perform their tasks on site by providing support during major maintenance interventions or facility modifications.

Prepare, perform, and document mechanical tests—including vibration, acoustic, shock, and mass-property testing—on space components, subsystems, and complete systems. Maintain, calibrate, and improve test facilities and equipment, investigate deviations, and support customers, test teams, and third-party suppliers.
Requirements
Requires an MBO-4 qualification or similar in a technical field such as mechanical engineering, mechatronics, aerospace, or service and maintenance, plus practical experience with mechanical testing and measurement systems. Candidates should understand vibration and acoustic test facilities, have basic electrical troubleshooting skills, work independently, communicate fluently in English, and be willing to work occasional shifts and Saturdays.
