About the Company Our client is a global pharmaceutical organization developing and manufacturing medicines in a GMP environment. The Haarlem site is expanding its facilities to support high-potency secondary packaging operations. Role Description As Facility Engineering Lead, you will lead the facility engineering scope for a major GMP facility project. You will coordinate Civil, Structural & Architectural (CSA), HVAC, utilities, fire protection, and related building systems from design through construction, commissioning, and qualification. Key Responsibilities Lead facility engineering activities across the project lifecycle Review designs, calculations, specifications, and vendor documentation Coordinate CSA, HVAC, utilities, fire protection, and building systems Ensure compliance with Dutch regulations, GMP, EHS, and engineering standards Coordinate interfaces with process equipment, automation, utilities, and site operations Support design reviews, risk assessments, constructability reviews, and GMP reviews Support commissioning, qualification, turnover, and operational readiness Coordinate with contractors, engineering partners, Quality, EHS, Operations, and Procurement Own assigned facility workstreams and resolve technical issues Requirements Strong experience in facility engineering within pharmaceutical or GMP environments Proven experience with large-scale engineering or construction projects Strong knowledge of HVAC, utilities, building systems, and/or CSA Experience across design, construction, commissioning, and qualification phases Knowledge of Dutch regulations, GMP, and EHS requirements Strong stakeholder and contractor coordination skills Able to work independently and take ownership of technical workstreams Strong technical documentation and communication skills Available to work at the Haarlem site at least 3 days per week

Requirements
Requires substantial facility engineering experience in pharmaceutical or GMP environments and experience with large-scale engineering or construction projects across design, construction, commissioning, and qualification. Candidates should have knowledge of building systems, Dutch regulations, GMP, and EHS, along with strong coordination, communication, and workstream ownership skills.
