About Altery Altery Connect EU B.V. is a Dutch crypto-asset service provider applicant seeking authorisation under the Markets in Crypto-Assets Regulation (MiCAR). As part of the international Altery Group, we are building our local governance, compliance and control framework in preparation for the launch of our regulated European operations. As we prepare to launch our regulated European crypto-asset services under MiCAR, we are looking for an experienced Operations and Project Support Manager to help establish, coordinate and continuously improve our local operating model. Working closely with the COO and CEO, you will turn operational plans and regulatory commitments into effective processes, well-managed projects and reliable day-to-day delivery. What you will be doing Operational management and Coordination Coordinate day-to-day activities across local teams, Group functions and external providers, maintaining clear procedures, process maps, responsibilities and escalation routes. Monitor operational performance, volumes, backlogs, incidents and control exceptions, coordinating resolution and remediation. Prepare accurate operational management information and maintain the evidence required for management and control reviews. Operational Process and Workflow Change Coordinate changes to operational processes, customer journeys, order fulfilment, transaction processing, customer support and operational systems. Document business requirements, owners, timelines, dependencies and acceptance criteria, and track implementation through to completion. Coordinate user acceptance testing and ensure that procedures, controls, process maps and training materials are updated following approved changes. Service Delivery and Outsourcing Oversight Support the COO in overseeing outsourced and intra-group services, maintaining the provider register and coordinating day-to-day service monitoring. Track SLAs, KPIs, KRIs, incidents, breaches, provider reviews, change requests and remediation actions. Support outsourcing risk assessments, due diligence, contract reviews and exit planning, escalating material or recurring service issues. Project Management and Strategic Delivery Manage operational, regulatory-readiness, business-launch and strategic-change projects. Maintain project plans, milestones, risks, dependencies, action trackers and status reporting. Coordinate delivery across Operations, Compliance, Risk, Technology, Finance, Sales and Marketing and escalate delays or unresolved issues. Customer and Transaction Operation Coordinate processes supporting customer onboarding, account servicing, transaction processing and customer support. Monitor backlogs, exceptions, service levels and customer-impacting issues and coordinate the resolution of complex cases. Identify recurring problems and support root-cause analysis and process improvement without overriding KYC, AML, sanctions or customer-risk requirements. Operational Risk, Incidents and Resilience Support the identification and monitoring of operational risks, process dependencies and control weaknesses. Coordinate first-line incident response, root-cause analysis, remediation and appropriate escalation. Support business-continuity, disaster-recovery and operational-resilience testing and track identified weaknesses to closure. Governance and Regulatory Readiness Maintain trackers for operational regulatory commitments, remediation actions, information requests and submission deadlines. Coordinate operational information and evidence required for regulatory submissions, reviews and supervisory engagement. Prepare operational materials for the Management Board and Supervisory Board and maintain records of decisions, approvals, challenges and follow-up actions. What we're looking for At least five years of relevant experience in operations, project management or service delivery within financial services, fintech, payments, technology or another regulated sector. Proven experience coordinating cross-functional projects, improving operational processes and delivering against demanding deadlines. Experience overseeing internal or external providers, including service levels, incidents, operational risks and remediation. Strong organisational, analytical and problem-solving skills, with excellent attention to detail and documentation. Confidence working with senior managers, technical specialists and cross-functional teams, combined with clear communication and sound escalation judgement. Hands-on experience using AI tools in your work, or a strong habit of using AI in everyday life, whether to automate routine tasks, analyse information, draft documentation or find smarter ways to get things done. Fluency in English; Dutch is strongly preferred. Ability to work primarily from the Netherlands and attend meetings in Amsterdam, with an existing right to work in the Netherlands or the ability to obtain it before the agreed start date. Nice to have Experience in a regulated financial institution, fintech, payment service provider or crypto-asset business. Familiarity with MiCAR, DORA, crypto-asset operations, outsourcing or third-party risk management. Experience supporting licensing, regulatory-readiness, business-continuity or operational-resilience projects. A relevant degree or recognised project-management qualification. Why join us? Core Responsibilities
Coordinate day-to-day operations, service providers, customer and transaction processes, and cross-functional projects supporting the launch of regulated European crypto-asset services. Monitor operational performance and risks, coordinate incident remediation and resilience activities, and maintain evidence and reporting for governance and regulatory readiness.
Requirements
Candidates need at least five years of relevant experience in operations, project management, or service delivery in financial services, fintech, payments, technology, or another regulated sector. They should have experience coordinating projects, improving processes, overseeing providers, and using AI tools; English fluency is required, Dutch is strongly preferred, and the role requires the ability to work primarily in the Netherlands with the right to work there.
