Lead Experience Designer At Dentsu Creative Amsterdam we're looking for a Lead Experience Designer to join our team. We’re looking for a Lead Experience Designer with exceptional UI craft, strong motion and prototyping skills, and the ambition to push our digital work further. You’ll shape websites, apps and digital services, bringing brand, interaction and technology together. You’ll stay close to the craft, set direction across projects and help other designers do their best work. Your role Working alongside strategists, creatives, UX designers, developers and AI specialists, you’ll turn ambitious ideas into distinctive digital experiences. You’ll balance your own design work with guiding less experienced designers. From early concepts to final delivery, you’ll bring clear thinking, practical direction and high standards. You’ll also help shape our experience design practice through new tools, references and ways of working. What you’ll do • Set the visual and interaction direction for websites, apps and digital services. • Build design systems that carry a brand’s character through components, interaction patterns and motion. • Make ideas move. Use interactive prototypes and working concepts to explore how an experience feels and behaves. • Bring motion, 3D and AI into the work where they make an experience more intuitive, expressive or engaging. Collaborate with specialists to take ideas further. • Design across several projects, knowing where to focus your attention and how to keep teams moving. • Guide other designers through clear feedback, regular reviews and practical support. • Present work to clients and partner with developers to deliver the ambition, with attention to usability, accessibility and performance. What you’ll bring • A portfolio showing exceptional UI craft, strong interaction design and a sharp eye for typography, composition and detail. • Strong motion and prototyping skills, with examples that show your ideas in action. • Confidence with Figma and experience building scalable design systems. • Practical experience using AI to design, prototype and build, with clear judgement about the results. • Experience exploring or directing 3D, alongside specialist artists and developers. • The ability to lead across projects, explain your decisions and help other designers grow. • High standards, curiosity and a collaborative mindset. Core Responsibilities

Set visual and interaction direction for websites, apps, and digital services, creating brand-led design systems and interactive prototypes that may incorporate motion, 3D, and AI. Lead design across projects, mentor other designers, present work to clients, and collaborate with developers to deliver accessible, usable, high-performing experiences.

Requirements

Candidates should have a portfolio demonstrating exceptional UI craft, strong interaction design, and attention to typography, composition, and detail, along with strong motion and prototyping skills. They should be confident with Figma and scalable design systems, have practical experience using AI and exploring or directing 3D, and be able to lead projects, communicate design decisions, and support other designers’ growth.
