Envu is proud to be certified as a Top Employer 2026 in France and the United States FUNCTION: Product Supply LOCATION: Wageningen, NL JOB TYPE: Permanent JOB GRADE: 9 GET TO KNOW YOUR AREA: The Industrial Site Lead acts as the Managing Director of the In2Care manufacturing site and is fully accountable for the site's overall business performance. The role carries full responsibility for the site's P&L, including revenue, operating expenses, manufacturing costs, profitability, and investment decisions. The Site Lead is responsible for defining and executing the site's operational strategy, ensuring sustainable growth, business continuity, regulatory compliance, and long-term value creation for Envu. YOUR MISSION WILL BE TO: Financial & Business Leadership Own the site's full Profit & Loss (P&L) performance and deliver agreed financial targets Drive revenue growth, cost optimization, productivity improvements, and profitability enhancement Develop and manage annual operating plans, budgets, forecasts, and long-range plans Ensure effective working capital management, including inventory, receivables, and cash optimization Identify, evaluate, and execute capital investment projects aligned with business objectives Provide regular business performance reviews and strategic recommendations to senior leadership Strategic Leadership Lead capacity enhancement and industrialization initiatives to support business growth Build and maintain relationships with key suppliers, authorities, and external stakeholders Represent the site in interactions with local authorities, regulatory bodies, and the community Ensure business continuity and risk management plans are implemented and regularly reviewed Drive organizational development and leadership succession planning across the site Safety and Compliance Ensure health and safety in all aspects of work. Provide safe machinery, tools, infrastructure, healthy working environment for all employees (permanent and temporary), subcontractors and third-party providers Take measures and give instructions, training and supervision as reasonably required to prevent harm to employees Conduct and maintain a Risk Inventory&Evaluation, and plan/implement preventive measures Ensure compliance with environmental regulations related to emissions, waste management, chemical handling, and pollution control. Maintaining valid operating permits (environmental, safety, etc.) and submitting required reports and declarations to authorities. Operational and People Leadership Lead and coordinate all activities on site (production, maintenance, logistics, QHSE, ESG), ensuring smooth and efficient workflow across departments. Manage, coach, and develop team members, fostering accountability and engagement. Oversee staffing, performance evaluation, and training needs. Promote a positive workplace culture aligned with company values. Continuous Improvement Promote a culture of continuous improvement, operational excellence and innovation Identify and implement improvements to increase efficiency and reduce waste Engage employees in trouble-shooting methodology ARE YOU READY FOR THE ROLE? Main requirements: Master’s degree in Engineering, Chemistry, Business, or related field (or equivalent experience). 7+ years of experience in industrial operations, with at least 3 years in a leadership role. Experience in a small or mid-size site environment preferred. Proven ability to lead teams, manage budgets, and drive operational improvements Leadership and people management skills. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal . Strong decision-making and problem-solving skills. Financial acumen and budget management experience. Deep understanding of manufacturing processes, industrial operations, and supply chain dynamics. Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while aligning with strategic goals. Fluent in Dutch and English. Core Responsibilities
Lead the manufacturing site's overall business performance, including P&L, financial planning, operational strategy, production, maintenance, logistics, and compliance. Develop the site and its people, drive growth and continuous improvement, manage risks and external relationships, and ensure safe, efficient, and sustainable operations.
Requirements
Requires a master's degree in engineering, chemistry, business, or a related field, or equivalent experience, and at least seven years of industrial operations experience, including three years in a leadership role. Candidates should bring manufacturing and supply chain knowledge, financial and budget management experience, strong leadership and communication skills, and fluency in Dutch and English.
