Job Description

Back to careers Co-founder role Open position GatherEasy Co-Founder, Product & Go-to-Market Take founder-level ownership of product–market fit, organiser success, partnerships and growth for GatherEasy, alongside the technical founder. Founder role Equity Amsterdam, The Netherlands On-site Apply now Open role GatherEasy Co-Founder, Product & Go-to-Market Apply now Have a question? Contact us → About GatherEasy GatherEasy.rsvp is building a better way to discover, organise and grow real-world events. Today, finding and organising events is fragmented across event platforms, WhatsApp and WeChat groups, spreadsheets, forms, venue websites and countless message threads. Existing event platforms tend to become yet another destination people have to visit. We think the next generation of event software should work differently. GatherEasy combines conversational event and venue discovery, event organisation, ticketing and community-driven recommendations — while fitting into the channels and communities people already use. We’re building GatherEasy within AI Colleagues, an Amsterdam-based AI startup. Where we are today This is not a PowerPoint-stage startup. We’ve already built and launched the core product, including: Conversational venue and event search and recommendations A growing database of venues and events Event discovery across multiple event sources Tools for organisers to create and manage events Paid ticketing through Stripe Community and discovery features Integrations designed for the emerging AI/MCP ecosystem We’ve been talking directly with event organisers, attendees, communities and venue operators to understand where existing tools break down. A recurring theme is clear: organising the event itself is often not the hardest part — coordinating people, finding the right venue, reaching the right audience and connecting fragmented communities is. We’re now moving from building the foundation to finding the strongest repeatable use cases and growing them. That’s why I’m looking for a co-founder. Your role You’ll be the Product & Go-to-Market co-founder of GatherEasy. You’ll work alongside a technical founder and take major ownership of turning what we’ve built into a product people repeatedly choose, recommend and pay for. This is deliberately broad. You’ll spend time with me talking to users, helping organisers succeed, testing distribution channels, refining positioning, forming partnerships and deciding what we should — and shouldn’t — build. You won’t receive a finished product and a marketing budget and be asked to “go sell it”. You’ll help shape the company. What you’ll own Product-market fit Talk continuously with event organisers, attendees, community builders, venues and other ecosystem participants. Turn those conversations into clear product priorities, experiments and decisions. Identify where GatherEasy can become dramatically better than existing workflows rather than merely adding another event platform. Go-to-market Find repeatable ways to acquire our first hundreds and thousands of active organisers and users. Experiment with channels such as communities, partnerships, launch partners, event influencers, venue relationships and direct outreach. Develop positioning for different segments and learn which ones have the strongest pull. Organiser success Work closely with early organisers rather than observing them through analytics alone. Help them launch events, find venues, sell tickets, attract attendees and solve the operational problems around their communities. Their success should become our growth engine. Partnerships Build Relationships With: Event organisers and communities Venues Event sponsors Event influencers and curators Technology and ecosystem partners We’re particularly interested in models where GatherEasy creates a network connecting these groups rather than treating them as isolated users. Company building As a co-founder, you’ll also participate in the less glamorous parts of building a company: strategy, hiring, fundraising, partnerships, operations and difficult prioritisation decisions. There won’t always be a playbook. Creating the playbook is part of the job. Who I’m looking for You may come from product, growth, business development, community, sales, marketplaces or entrepreneurship. Your previous job title matters much less than how you work. You’ll Probably Be a Strong Fit If: You genuinely enjoy talking to users and uncovering what they actually need You’re comfortable going from strategy to sending twenty outreach messages yourself You can turn ambiguous feedback into concrete experiments You understand that early-stage GTM is discovery, not just sales execution You have strong product judgement You’re good at building relationships and getting people excited about trying something new You care about real-world communities and events You’re commercially minded without treating every interaction as a transaction You can operate with very little structure You want founder-level responsibility rather than a narrowly defined job Previous Startup Experience Is Useful But Not Required. Experience with marketplaces, communities, events, creator platforms or consumer/social products would be particularly relevant. What I’m not looking for I’m not looking for someone whose definition of GTM is primarily running paid ads. I’m also not looking for someone who wants to wait until the product, ICP, pricing and sales process have all been worked out before joining. Those are exactly the things we’ll work out together. And this isn’t a traditional employee role with a predetermined roadmap handed down by a founder. If you join, GatherEasy becomes your company too. What you’ll get This is a co-founder-level equity role, with the exact structure discussed openly based on commitment, experience and the stage at which you join. More importantly, you’ll join while there is still enormous room to shape the product, company and market. We’ve already done enough work to know there is something worth pursuing. We haven’t done so much that all the important decisions have already been made. That’s the opportunity. About Me I’m the technical founder of AI Colleagues and the creator of GatherEasy. My background is a PhD in AI, with industrial experience in software engineering and building AI products. I’ve been leading the technical development of GatherEasy, building the underlying product and integrations, and speaking directly with organisers and users to understand the market. What I’m looking for now is not somebody to execute my GTM plan. I’m looking for somebody who can challenge it, improve it and eventually own large parts of the company with me. Interested? Use the form below to send me a short introduction covering: What you’ve built, sold, grown or organised that you’re proud of Why GatherEasy interests you What you think is broken about how people discover or organise events today What you would want to test during your first month A polished cover letter isn’t necessary. I’d much rather have an interesting conversation with someone who has strong opinions, curiosity and the desire to build. Learn more: GatherEasy.rsvp Apply for this role Fields marked * are required.
