Role Description As a Health and Safety Advisor at Red Bear Tech, you will play a key role in ensuring safe working practices across data centre construction and deployment projects. This is a contract, on-site position focused on monitoring compliance with health and safety legislation, company policies, and client requirements. Daily responsibilities include conducting site inspections and audits, identifying hazards, recommending corrective actions, and maintaining accurate safety documentation and reports. You will support incident investigation, root-cause analysis, and follow-up actions, while providing toolbox talks, training, and guidance to project teams and contractors. Collaboration with project managers, engineers, and client representatives is essential to embed safety into planning, method statements, risk assessments, and day-to-day operations. Qualifications Demonstrated expertise in occupational health and safety management, including risk assessment, hazard identification, and implementation of control measures. Strong knowledge of relevant health and safety legislation, regulations, and best practices within construction, data centre, or industrial environments. Experience conducting site inspections, audits, incident investigations, and producing clear, actionable safety reports. Ability to design and deliver safety briefings, toolbox talks, and training sessions to diverse site teams and stakeholders. Proficiency in using safety management systems, incident reporting tools, and standard office software for documentation and analysis. Excellent communication, influencing, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to challenge unsafe practices constructively. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the capacity to prioritize tasks across multiple concurrent projects. Relevant professional qualifications or certifications in health and safety (e.g., NEBOSH, IOSH, or equivalent), and prior experience in a similar advisor or coordinator role. Familiarity with data centre or high-technology construction environments is an advantage, as is experience working within European regulatory frameworks.
