Currently Europol is looking for Agent - Driver, Close Protection Team. The successful candidate will perform driving and administrative related duties for the Executive Director and Deputy Executive Directors, and support the Close Protection Team in the area of Europol’s fleet management. This post will require participation in a shift working system from Monday to Friday (on a two-shift basis, day and evening, excluding nights), and in a standby system during weekends and EU/public holidays. She/he will be entrusted with the following functions and duties: Driving the Executive Director/Deputy Executive Directors of Europol inside the host country and while on missions abroad; Meeting and driving VIPs and other Europol guests; Performing pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections on all fleet vehicles; Maintaining accurate, up-to-date records on trip documents (such as but not limited to customer transportation forms, vehicle maintenance, fuel purchases, incident reports); Performing minor preventative maintenance tasks on the vehicles when necessary, ensuring all the duty vehicles are ready for immediate deployment on short notice; Monitoring and ensuring timely follow-up of request for approval and deployment of duty cars made through internal systems; Maintaining close contact and cooperation with the local tax authorities and several service providers, regarding the documentation necessary for the registration/ deregistration of the service vehicles, fuel cards, access permits; Performing advance reconnaissance visits to specific venues where high level meetings will take place, dealing with access rights, parking options, other logistical matters relevant to these types of events; Coordinating and liaising with local authorities to facilitate vehicles access in designated areas; Key requirements and knowledge: A level of education as described in the vacancy notice published on Europol’s website; Experience as an executive driver; Experience in maintaining vehicles; Experience using navigation systems; Experience in fleet management activities and performing related administrative tasks including: procurement of equipment, drawing up technical specifications, drafting offer requests, liaising with external service providers. EU valid driver’s license category B, with a clean driving record (no at-fault accidents, major traffic violations); Strong technical knowledge of cars; Strict sense of confidentiality and discretion; Ability to drive a multi-passenger vehicle safely. Desirable: Experience operating armoured vehicles; Experience with medical protocols (Tactical Combat Casualty Care - TCCC / Airways/Breathing/Circulation - ABC); Experience in driving as part of a motorcade; International work experience. Recognized professional executive driving and/or defensive driving certification; First aid certification Indicative salary: The basic monthly salary in Function Group FGII, grade 4 (EUR 2714.73), grade 5 (EUR 3071.64). The indicative salary for a staff member (single) in receipt of expatriation allowance (16%) is: a) Staff member (single) in receipt of expatriation allowance (16%): grade 4 EUR 3416.22, grade 5 EUR 3757.98; b) Staff member with two dependent children in their custody in receipt of expatriation allowance (16%): grade 4 EUR 4943.99, grade 5 EUR 5290.75. Core Responsibilities

Drive Europol's Executive Director and Deputy Executive Directors on domestic and international assignments, and transport VIPs and other guests. Maintain and prepare fleet vehicles, manage related records and administrative requests, and coordinate logistics, access, and service providers for official travel and events.

Requirements

Candidates need executive-driving experience, vehicle-maintenance experience, navigation-system experience, and fleet-management and related administrative experience. A valid EU category B driver's license with a clean record, strong automotive knowledge, discretion, and the ability to safely drive a multi-passenger vehicle are required; armoured-vehicle, medical-protocol, motorcade, international, executive-driving certification, and first-aid experience are desirable.
