For our Turbomachinery Service team in Schiedam, we are looking for a passionate, technically skilled and hands-on Field Service Engineer who wants to develop expertise in high-performance rotating equipment and make a real impact at customer sites throughout the region and beyond. As a Field Service Engineer, you will be at the heart of our service organization. You will work on complex turbomachinery systems, solve technical challenges and contribute to the successful execution of maintenance, overhaul, installation and commissioning activities. Every project brings new challenges, making this an ideal role for engineers who enjoy variety, responsibility and continuous learning. The position is based at our Schiedam office in the Netherlands, with regular travel to customer sites across the Benelux region, Europe and occasionally worldwide. Your Responsibilities In this role, you will be responsible for the successful execution of field service activities involving the installation, commissioning, maintenance, inspection, troubleshooting and repair of advanced turbomachinery equipment. Working as part of our international service organization, you will contribute to delivering safe, efficient and high-quality solutions at customer sites. Your Responsibility Includes Execute field service activities on turbomachinery and associated auxiliary systems on customer sites. Perform mechanical overhauls, inspections, repairs and maintenance activities. Disassemble, inspect, measure and reassemble rotating equipment to specified tolerances. Prepare tools, consumables, spare parts and lifting equipment required for site assignments. Perform alignment using dial indicators and laser alignment equipment. Conduct bearing inspections, clearance measurements and coupling installations. Assist with troubleshooting and technical problem solving. Support auxiliary system activities, including oil flushing and related mechanical work. Complete technical field service reports, quality records and project-specific documentation. Identify equipment issues, maintenance findings and potential reliability improvements. Maintain strong communication with, supervisor, customers and project stakeholders. Work safely and comply with all HSEQ requirements and company procedures. Travel regularly within the Benelux region, Europe and occasionally globally. Equipment You Will Work On Working on a wide range of turbomachinery equipment, based on experience and qualification levels, including: Axial Flow Compressors Multi-stage Centrifugal Compressors Barrel Compressors Integral Gear Compressors Screw Compressors Steam Turbines Hot Gas Expanders Associated Auxiliary Systems What You'll Bring You are a hands-on mechanical professional who enjoys working with complex rotating equipment in challenging industrial environments. You take pride in delivering high-quality work, solving technical problems and continuously developing your expertise. Whether working independently or as part of an international team, you bring a proactive attitude, strong attention to detail and a commitment to safe and reliable execution To Be Successful In This Role, You Have Professional background in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics or a related technical field. Minimum 3 years' experience in turbomachinery field service activities. Good knowledge of mechanical assembly and disassembly techniques. Experience with measuring instruments such as dial indicators, micrometers and vernier calipers. Ability to read technical drawings and P&IDs. Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills. The ability to work independently as well as collaborate effectively within a team. A flexible mindset and the ability to perform under pressure in challenging environments. Good written and spoken English. Dutch is considered an advantage. Driving license and passport. Willingness to travel for extended periods. Requirements

Applicants need a professional background in mechanical engineering, mechatronics, or a related technical field, with at least three years of turbomachinery field service experience. They should have mechanical assembly skills, experience with measuring instruments, the ability to read technical drawings and P&IDs, strong troubleshooting abilities, good spoken and written English, a driving license and passport, and willingness to travel for extended periods.
