Position Overview: The Production Line Manager is responsible for oversee and coordinate activities on the assigned production line, ensuring efficient operations, optimal resource utilization, and achievement of operational goals and key performance indicators (KPIs) in accordance with all safety standards and protocols. Responsibilities: Lead and manage a team of Production Supervisors assigned to the designated production line. Provide clear direction, delegate tasks effectively, set priorities, and ensure alignment with operational goals. Supervise all activities and performance across the line, ensuring adherence to quality, safety, and operational standards. Monitor and manage key performance indicators (KPIs) across the assigned production line to ensure consistent achievement of output, quality, and delivery targets. Coordinate and oversee employee development activities on the assigned production line, ensuring that all training is fully aligned with local operational needs and the group’s standards. Oversee and ensure consistency of manufactured product quality across the assigned production line by actively monitoring processes, verifying compliance with quality standards, and driving timely corrective actions in case of deviations or non-conformities. Create and maintain the conditions necessary for effective identification and resolution of production issues on the assigned line, ensuring operational continuity and minimal disruption. Conduct regular performance reviews, provide constructive feedback, and address performance issues decisively. Promote a high-performance culture and support the team’s development through coaching and skills building, aligned with company’s training curricula and strategies. Participate in short- and long-term operational planning and communicate regularly with the Operations Manager regarding performance, risks, and opportunities. Coordinate shift handovers and personnel scheduling to ensure operational continuity and efficiency, including managing holidays, overtime, and collaboration with production and support teams. Ensure adherence to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), Maintain the area in accordance with 5S standards and Continuous Improvement methodologies. Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor, in line with the scope of the position and employment agreement What We're Looking For: Secondary technical education (e.g. technical school diploma) in relevant fields. Preferred bachelor’s degree in Engineering, or Industrial Management. Must-have experience in can making industry. Minimum 10-15 years of experience in a manufacturing or production environment, currently in a team leader or supervisory role. Strong leadership and team management skills. Strategic and operational thinking, with the ability to plan, organize, and optimize production processes and resource allocation. Excellent problem-solving, decision-making, and analytical abilities in a production environment. Effective cross-functional communication. Training and talent development capabilities. Core Responsibilities
Lead Production Supervisors and coordinate production-line operations to meet output, quality, delivery, safety, and efficiency targets. Develop employees, manage performance and staffing, maintain GMP and 5S standards, resolve production issues, and coordinate operational planning with the Operations Manager.
Requirements
Requires 10–15 years of manufacturing or production experience, including current team-leader or supervisory experience, and experience in the can-making industry. A relevant secondary technical education is required; a bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Industrial Management is preferred, along with strong leadership, planning, problem-solving, communication, and employee-development capabilities.
