We are building the AI layer that changes that. Not a dashboard. Not a copilot. Agentic orchestration made for finance. When a client joins Cortena, the real work begins. You are the person who makes AI transformation happen in practice. That means listening to how a finance team actually operates, understanding where the friction is, and translating that into the right setup inside our platform so our agents can do their job. This role sits at the intersection of client success, product quality, and operational excellence. You will own onboarding end-to-end, improve our internal tools and processes, and stay close to clients long enough to see the transformation land. What you learn on the ground shapes what we build next. This is not a support role. It is a client-facing, execution-heavy position at an early-stage AI company where your work has direct commercial impact. What you will do Deploy AI agents for real finance teams You are not demoing a product. You are implementing it. When a client goes live on Cortena, you configure the agents, define the business rules, and ensure our AI processes invoices the way their finance team expects. You translate how a company actually operates into workflows that run autonomously. Build the financial guidelines that make AI accurate Every client has a different chart of accounts, creditor logic, cost center structure, and VAT setup. Your job is to turn that into clean, structured guidelines our platform uses to classify, route, and process transactions correctly. The better your guidelines, the better our AI performs. Own client onboarding end-to-end You are the person clients rely on from day one. You figure out the smallest set of asks to get what you need, work through messy exports and inconsistent data, and get clients live without friction. You stay close enough to catch problems before they become incidents. Keep quality high as we scale Review AI-processed invoices against the guidelines you defined. Catch systematic misclassifications. Document patterns, suggest improvements, and feed insights back to the team. Quality is not a separate workstream. It is part of everything you do. Build the foundation for how we scale Our onboarding process is only as good as what we learn from each client. You will systematically improve our internal tools, templates, and processes so every new client goes live faster and smoother than the last. This is not admin work. It is the infrastructure that makes Cortena scalable. Stay close to clients Be the clear point of contact for onboarding questions and setup decisions. Turn what you hear from clients into sharp, actionable notes for the product and engineering team. You are the link between client reality and what we build next. What we are looking for Fast, curious, and proactive. Someone who gets things done without being asked twice, spots problems before they escalate, and brings energy to a team that moves quickly. Must-have You use AI tools every day and understand their limits as well as their strengths. Not in theory. In practice. Solid intuition for bookkeeping and SME finance: invoices, GL accounts, cost allocation, creditors, debtors, and how posting history connects to masters. Structured under pressure. Comfortable with large messy datasets, incomplete information, and making the right call anyway. Sharp communicator. You say what is wrong, why it matters, and what to do about it. Briefly. Highly organized. You run multiple client workstreams without dropping threads, track what matters, and follow through every time. Ownership mindset. You notice when something is off and don't wait for someone to tell you to fix it. Nice to have Exposure to DATEV, Exact Online, Twinfield and/or other accounting tools. Experience with financial processes. German language skills. What you will get Direct exposure to founding-team decisions at an early-stage AI startup. Hands-on experience with production AI workflows and real client data. Flexible hours: 20 hours per week or full-time depending on availability. Based in Amsterdam. On-site is required. Core Responsibilities

Configure and deploy AI agents for client finance workflows, create financial guidelines, and manage client onboarding from initial setup through go-live. Review AI-processed invoices for accuracy, identify recurring issues, improve onboarding tools and processes, and relay client insights to product and engineering teams.

Requirements

Candidates should be proactive, organized communicators with practical experience using AI tools and a solid understanding of bookkeeping and SME finance. They should be comfortable handling large, messy datasets, managing multiple client workstreams, and taking ownership; familiarity with accounting platforms or German is a plus.
