Als onze nieuwe Field Technical Service Manager Pets zet je jouw wetenschappelijke en veterinaire expertise in om richting en ondersteuning te bieden aan externe klanten, zoals dierenartsen, huisdiereigenaren en vooraanstaande externe experts en collega’s van sales en marketing team van Boehringer Ingelheim. Zo help je hun activiteiten verder te ontwikkelen en creëer je waardevolle kansen voor samenwerking.

THE OPPORTUNITY

As the new Field Technical Service Manager Pets, you will provide technical direction and support with your relevant scientific knowledge in the veterinary field to Sales and Marketing colleagues and external customers (i.e., other Vets, Pet Owners, Key External Experts) to improve their business and to maximize collaboration opportunities.
This position is based in Amsterdam and reports directly to the BU Head of Companion Animals AH. It is a customer‑facing role in which you will spend about half of your time in the field.

HOW YOU’LL FIT IN:
- Provide technical sales support through customer interactions, on-site customer training, and handling customer inquiries and pharmacovigilance.
- Provide technical training (internal and external) as it relates directly or indirectly to products in your portfolio
- Generate written and oral technical communications including scientific papers and presentations at professional meetings; ensure technical accuracy of promotional communications
- Review our brand marketing materials and create together with the Brand Manager
- Connect with appropriate Key External Experts and support the creation of our interactive and innovative sales tools in line with the evolving needs of the customers
- Conduct and/or support local field trials
- Create sales tools such as (but not limited to) PowerPoint presentations and technical bulletins to promote our products and organization.
YOU BRING:
- Passion for animal health and welfare
- Master’s degree (DVM) in Veterinary Medicine is required
- Previous experience (min. 3 years) preferably in veterinary practice is preferred
- Experience as a Vet in practice is a strong plus
- Well-developed communication skills and interest in exploring digital opportunities, data solutions and other trends within the AH industry and being a Team player
- Commercial acumen
- Willingness to achieve goals together with the team
- Native/ Advanced fluency in Dutch and English
- Interest in science, trial design and conduction, including basic understanding of statistical analysis
- Proactive: collaboration with customers to execute innovative ideas in respond to changing customer needs and markets.

Core Responsibilities
Provide technical direction and support to sales teams and external customers to improve business and maximize collaboration. Conduct field activities, manage customer inquiries, and create technical sales tools to promote products.
Requirements
A Master's degree (DVM) in Veterinary Medicine is required along with at least 3 years of experience, preferably in veterinary practice. Candidates must possess strong communication skills, commercial acumen, and fluency in both Dutch and English.
