Field Guide – Luxury Safari Lodge – Manyoni, KZN

Kendrick Recruitment is seeking an enthusiastic and knowledgeable Field Guide to join a luxury safari lodge in Manyoni, KwaZulu-Natal. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced and passionate guide to become part of a professional lodge team and deliver exceptional safari experiences to guests.

The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting guided game drives and bush experiences while ensuring that guests receive informative, engaging and memorable experiences throughout their stay.

Key responsibilities:

• Conduct guided game drives and interpretive bush experiences in a professional and engaging manner.
  

• Provide guests with knowledgeable information on wildlife, ecology, conservation and the surrounding environment.
  

• Maintain a high standard of guest interaction and service throughout each safari experience.
  

• Ensure all game drive activities are conducted safely and in accordance with lodge and reserve procedures.
  

• Assist with general lodge duties and guest activities when required.
  

• Maintain the safari vehicle and guiding equipment to a high standard.
  

• Work closely with the lodge management and wider team to ensure a seamless guest experience.
  

• Contribute to the overall conservation and environmental ethos of the property.
  

Requirements:

• Previous experience as a Field Guide within a luxury safari lodge or game reserve environment.
  

• Relevant guiding qualifications and certifications.
  

• Strong knowledge of South African wildlife, fauna, flora and ecology.
  

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  

• A genuine passion for the bush, wildlife and conservation.
  

• Professional presentation and a strong guest-service focus.
  

• Ability to work independently as well as effectively within a team.
  

• A valid driver’s licence is essential.
  

Salary:

• R9,500 per month DOE.
  

Location:

• Manyoni, KwaZulu-Natal.
