About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Ship/Rec/Stores Clerk III to join our Distribution Center team in Heerlen, the Netherlands. 

 

In this role, you will perform a broad range of shipping, receiving and storage activities and support the smooth day-to-day operation of our Distribution Center. In addition to hands-on warehouse and administrative activities, you will independently handle non-routine tasks, help resolve operational issues and provide guidance and training to colleagues. 

 

You will use your experience and knowledge of our operational processes to identify improvements and support special projects or assignments within the Distribution Center. 

 

This is a fully on-site position based at our Distribution Center in Heerlen. 

 

Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned 

  • Perform shipping, receiving and storage activities within the Distribution Center, including non-routine operational and administrative tasks. 
  • Receive incoming materials and prepare products and materials for shipment. 
  • Verify quantities, weights, product information and documentation and resolve or report discrepancies. 
  • Register, track and verify materials and shipments using computer systems and process relevant shipping and receiving documentation. 
  • Work independently within established procedures and support the resolution of operational issues. 
  • Identify areas for improvement and propose practical solutions or minor process improvements. 
  • Support special projects or assignments within the Distribution Center. 
  • Provide guidance, coaching and training to new or less experienced colleagues. 
  • Communicate with internal and external contacts as needed to support daily operations. 

 

Required Knowledge and Experience 

  • Minimum of 4 years of relevant work experience, for example within logistics, warehousing, shipping, receiving or a distribution environment. 
  • Broad knowledge of warehouse and distribution processes, systems and procedures. 
  • Comfortable using computer systems to register, track, verify and report materials and shipments. 
  • Able to work independently and use judgment to resolve operational issues. 
  • Able to identify opportunities for improvement and propose practical solutions. 
  • Experience supporting, coaching or training colleagues is an advantage. 
  • Accurate and quality-conscious, with good attention to detail. 
  • Good communication skills in Dutch and/or English. 
  • Relevant vocational education or certification, such as an MBO qualification in logistics, is considered an advantage.
