What you´ll do

Support Production Management:

  • Assist in overseeing daily production activities to ensure safe, efficient operations aligned with production schedules and quality standards.
  • Participates in the implementation of Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies to improve productivity, reduce waste, and optimize resources.
  • Collaborate with engineering and maintenance teams to ensure equipment reliability and address technical issues promptly.

Warehouse and Inventory Management:

  • Contribute to the accurate tracking and management of raw materials, finished goods, and intermediate storage to support seamless production and shipping processes.
  • Support the use of digital tools and Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) to improve inventory accuracy and streamline operations.
  • Work closely with procurement and logistics teams to ensure smooth material flow and avoid stockouts or overages.

Cross-Functional Collaboration:

  • Work with departments such as procurement, quality, safety, and logistics to ensure efficient supply chain operations.
  • Act as a liaison between production, warehouse, and customer service teams to address potential bottlenecks and improve workflow.
  • Ensure alignment of production and warehouse activities with sustainability goals, such as waste reduction and minimizing carbon emissions.

Continuous Improvement and Digital Transformation:

  • Assist in implementing Industry 4.0 technologies, such as IoT and predictive analytics, for real-time inventory and production tracking.
  • Participate in continuous improvement projects focused on process automation and data-driven decision-making.
  • Support the integration of sustainable practices, including energy-efficient equipment and greener logistics.

What makes you a good fit

  • Available to start: November 2026 for a duration of 6 months.
  • Enrolled in or recently completed a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Operations Management, Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
  • Basic knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and continuous improvement principles.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office; familiarity with ERP or WMS systems is a plus.
  • Strong communication, organizational, and analytical skills.
  • Enthusiasm for digitalization, sustainability, and process optimization.
  • Please only apply if you are currently studying in the Netherlands or if you graduated no more than 3 months before the internship start date. Applications that do not meet these criteria will not be considered.

Requirements
