Job Description
You will own and continuously improve our project management framework, governance standards, methodologies, templates, tools and ways of working. Working closely with Project Managers, senior business stakeholders and leadership teams, you will ensure that projects are managed consistently, transparently and effectively across the organization.
Unlike many PMO positions, you will not be assigned to support a single project, program or portfolio. Instead, your focus is on improving the overall PMO capability across Faber Group.
You will act as a trusted advisor, coach and quality gate for project management standards while helping colleagues achieve better project outcomes through guidance, constructive challenge and continuous improvement.

Required Experience
· At least 7 years of experience in PMO, project governance or project controls environments.
· Proven experience improving PMO frameworks and ways of working.
· Strong stakeholder management skills.
· Experience working with senior leadership teams.
· Experience coaching and developing colleagues.
· Extensive experience with Jira and Confluence.
· Strong facilitation and communication skills.
Preferred
· PMO Centre of Excellence experience.
· PMO maturity improvement experience.
· Portfolio governance experience.
· Relevant PMO or project management certifications.

PMO Excellence & Governance
· Own and continuously improve the Faber PMO framework, standards and methodologies.
· Drive consistency in project governance across all business functions.
· Conduct project governance reviews and project health checks.
· Monitor PMO maturity and identify improvement opportunities.
· Ensure best practices are embedded throughout the organization.
Stakeholder Management
· Build strong relationships with business leaders, Project Managers and functional teams.
· Facilitate alignment across departments and initiatives.
· Challenge stakeholders constructively when standards are not being followed.
· Support decision-making through transparency and governance insights.
· Act as a trusted partner to senior leadership.
Atlassian Centre of Excellence
· Act as the subject matter expert for Jira and Confluence.
· Drive adoption of standard ways of working within Atlassian tools.
· Develop and improve governance dashboards and reporting structures.
· Ensure project information is accurate, complete and actionable.
· Identify opportunities for automation and process optimization.
Coaching & Capability Building
· Coach Project Managers and Project Coordinators.
· Support the onboarding of new PMO and project professionals.
· Mentor interns and junior PMO colleagues.
· Deliver training sessions on governance, methodologies and tools.
· Strengthen project management capability across Faber Group.
Accountability & Continuous Improvement
· Promote ownership and accountability throughout the project community.
· Monitor compliance with PMO standards.
· Drive lessons learned and continuous improvement initiatives.
· Ensure project governance remains practical, effective and valuable.
Core Responsibilities
The Senior PMO Specialist will own and improve the project management framework, governance standards, and methodologies across the Faber Group. You will act as a trusted advisor and coach to project managers and leadership, ensuring consistent project delivery and effective use of Atlassian tools.
Requirements
Candidates must have at least 7 years of experience in PMO or project governance environments with proven success in framework improvement. Strong stakeholder management, coaching abilities, and extensive proficiency in Jira and Confluence are essential for this role.
