Job Description

About MR MARVIS

MR MARVIS is an Amsterdam-based menswear brand, dedicated to creating the perfect shorts, trousers and tops. As a Certified B Corporation, we’re proud to be part of a community of companies working together for change, and taking part in collective action to advocate for a shared goal of a global economy that benefits people and the planet.

What started in 2016 with three founders has now grown into a team of 300+ people representing 40+ nationalities. Having established a strong online presence across Europe, we’re now growing our international retail network. Today, you’ll find us in cities such as Amsterdam, Berlin, Paris and London.

We make slow fashion, with timeless design and craftsmanship at the centre. We are dedicated to doing better every day, creating value for our team, our suppliers, our customers, and everyone who interacts with our business.

MR MARVIS is looking for a highly organised, proactive, and process-minded Junior Product Developer to join our Product team. In this role, you will be fully supporting the Product Developers. You will support the team to work on the collection from initial development to the final product. You will make sure that technical information is correct and always updated. You check samples and help to prepare for reviews. If you have an eye for detail, are willing to learn, are capable of working independently, and can take ownership for clearly defined development tasks, we are looking for you.

What you'll do

  • Support the Product Developers throughout the development process, taking ownership of day-to-day development activities and follow-up.

  • Check, update, and maintain tech packs and technical documentation, ensuring product information is complete, accurate, and ready for Developer review.

  • Support sample management and fittings, including receiving and measuring samples, checking them against available product information, preparing fittings, and accurately processing updates afterwards.

  • Support with product information in PLM.

  • Prepare for reviews by pre-checking garments with a proactive approach.

  • Work on visual overviews in close cooperation with the team and fabric/material specialist to make sure factories receive what they need and we have an updated seasonal archive.

  • Coordinate practical development activities, from sample shipments and UPS parcels to other hands-on tasks needed to keep the development process moving smoothly.

  • Collaborate closely with Design and the wider Product team, building an understanding of the complete product lifecycle while contributing to an accurate, structured, and efficient development process.

What you'll bring

  • Ideally 2–3 years of relevant experience within apparel Product Development, Production, or a closely related role.

  • A good basic understanding of apparel terminology, tech packs, and the garment development process.

  • Experience or a solid understanding of garments and sample checking. Understanding/knowledge of measuring garments is a plus.

  • Experience working with a PLM system is highly valuable; WFX experience is a plus.

  • Organizational skills and an eye/attention for detail.

  • A naturally process-minded approach: you enjoy clear ways of working and are quick to notice where a recurring process could be better organised or more efficient.

  • A proactive and ownership-driven mindset. Once something has been delegated to you, you follow it through without needing continuous direction or reminders.

  • A team player that enjoys making the team more effective.

  • You are able to keep calm when days are hectic.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.

What you'll get

  • 25 vacation days;

  • A pension scheme, because later is also important;

  • Mobility allowance in case you live outside of Amsterdam;

  • All equipment needed to set you up for success;

  • Sabbatical after 5 years with us: enjoy some well-deserved rest;

  • Join a B-corp and make a real impact;

  • Working in a fun, international team at a fast growing scale-up;

  • Amazing team events and weekly Friday drinks with your colleagues.
