Partner Marketing Manager
Key Skills
Job Description
Negotiate, collaborate, and expand your network. Does coordinating new marketing campaigns with diverse partners and working with large budgets in a dynamic environment give you a thrill? Do you know better than anyone how to build strong collaborations? Then our Partner Marketing Manager position is perfect for you! As a Partner Marketing Manager, you are the face of Belsimpel, and your impact is enormous. It is up to you to make a difference using your expertise, enthusiasm, and persuasion to contribute significantly to Belsimpel's growth! What do you do as a Partner Marketing Manager? The Marketing team is a relatively small and close-knit group, consisting of four full-timers and seven part-timers. The team is responsible for making marketing agreements and managing the resulting campaigns. You ensure that all our partners, currently 31 phone manufacturers, 11 providers, and more than 50 accessory manufacturers, look back on our joint campaigns with satisfaction. This is quite a challenge, as the telecom market is constantly changing. New players enter, product innovations follow one another rapidly, and there is fierce competition among partners to win over Belsimpel customers. As a Partner Marketing Manager, you take the lead. With over 2 million sessions per month on our website, you serve a massive audience. You handle everything from Google Ads and social media to affiliate marketing and major TV and radio campaigns. You also ensure that campaign information is correctly transferred to Marketing Specialists and share reports afterward. Ultimately, you develop and accelerate growth in brand awareness, market share, and volume. Because our partners are located worldwide, you will also occasionally travel to visit them. Belsimpel is the market leader in the Dutch telecom sector, meaning you will manage a substantial marketing budget. Belsimpel handles everything in-house—we even have our own recording studio for commercials! You will act as a "spider-in-the-web," connecting teams like Purchasing, Data Driven, Category Management, and Video to get the most out of every campaign. A day in the life When you sit down at your desk, Ivar is already bringing around the first round of coffee. You need to be sharp because, at 9:30 AM, you have a call scheduled with one of the country's largest providers to finalize a joint campaign. This campaign will air during a popular talent show watched by half the Netherlands, so getting every detail right is crucial. After finalizing the plans, you head over to Max, who manages our social media channels, to ensure the campaign shines on Instagram and Facebook. Meanwhile, Marketing Specialists are translating the campaign to the homepage, and the Creative team has sent over the final visuals. To recharge, you grab a sandwich at the "Gobistro," the Belsimpel canteen. The afternoon includes a meeting led by one of the founders (the "Jeroens") to discuss partner developments. You might handle a tough call from a partner where a deal didn't go as planned; you resolve it with a smile on both sides. At the end of the day, you make the final call: do we launch a campaign for the newest iPhone or the latest Samsung flagship? The choice is yours. You are a strong communicator, both verbally and in writing, capable of managing intensive contact with providers, manufacturers, and broadcasters. You are analytically strong, able to interpret data to optimize campaigns and gain leverage in negotiations. You are creative and proactive, working structuredly to get things done. You are open and curious, wanting to learn a lot in a short time. You have a good command of Dutch and English and feel comfortable presenting.
