Role Description The Service Engineer (Residential & C&I, Benelux) is a full-time, on-site role based in The Hague (Hybrid). This role is responsible for providing field service and technical support for residential and commercial & industrial (C&I) energy solutions across the Benelux region. Day-to-day tasks include diagnosing and troubleshooting system issues, performing scheduled and corrective maintenance, and carrying out repairs on installed equipment. The Service Engineer will conduct site visits, commission new systems, and ensure adherence to safety and quality standards. The role also involves clear communication with customers and internal teams, documenting service activities, and providing feedback to engineering and product teams to improve system performance and customer experience. Qualifications Candidates should possess strong Troubleshooting and Technical Support skills to diagnose issues and resolve system faults efficiently. Candidates should possess Field Service experience, including on-site installation, commissioning, and customer-facing service activities. Candidates should possess Maintenance & Repair capabilities for electrical and electronic equipment used in residential and C&I energy systems. Candidates should possess effective Communication skills for interacting with customers, coordinating with internal teams, and documenting service reports. Relevant technical education (e.g., degree or vocational qualification in electrical engineering, electronics, renewable energy, or similar) is beneficial. Experience with solar PV, energy storage systems, inverters, or related clean energy technologies is an advantage. Knowledge of safety regulations and standards in electrical installations and the ability to work safely on-site are important. Fluency in English & Dutch, along with a valid driver’s license and willingness to travel, are preferred.

Core Responsibilities

Diagnose and resolve faults in residential and commercial and industrial energy systems, perform scheduled and corrective maintenance and repairs, and conduct site visits and system commissioning across the Benelux region. Communicate with customers and internal teams, document service work, follow safety and quality standards, and provide product feedback to engineering teams.

Requirements

Candidates should have troubleshooting, technical support, field service, maintenance, and repair capabilities, ideally supported by technical education in electrical engineering, electronics, renewable energy, or a related field. Experience with solar PV, energy storage, or inverters is advantageous; knowledge of electrical safety standards, English and Dutch fluency, a valid driver’s license, and willingness to travel are preferred.
