We’re looking for a Project Manager for our leading client to lead complex IT projects in the finance sector, implement agile methodologies. The role is onsite, based in Amsterdam. Your role: The Project Manager is end responsible for project governance and related policies and procedures, proper planning, prioritization and active project management of complex IT project portfolio. This role requires an experienced professional who thrives in a dynamic environment and is skilled at using JIRA and Confluence to drive project visibility, communication, and collaboration. First and foremost, the Project Manager will ensure the roadmaps/plans focus on agreed business priorities and dependencies based on business needs, and delivers against the shared objectives and main activities with key milestones that have been agreed upon. To this end, the Project Manager will support business case creation, drive key requirements gathering from business & stakeholders scope work, institutionalize governance, planning and cadence for the portfolio or project(s). The Project Manager will also actively contribute to improvement of the Project Management Office with his/her experience in Project Management. Key Responsibilities: Lead complex IT projects in Finance area (e.g. complex change / transformational initiatives within the organization, mainly software projects). Set priorities, create the plan, and allocate resources within the PMO, according to strategic priorities. Responsible for managing every phase of complex companywide projects, specifically: Drive vision for projects towards clear business objectives, scope, requirements & success criteria, including the identification of opportunities to improve the impact & experience for our customers, translating into business cases and getting buy-in from leadership Create clear planning documents together with involved departments Proactive identification and management of relevant dependencies (both within as well as cross departments and 3rd parties) in order to minimize risks and challenges. Regular tracking and reporting status and progress of all streams of work, highlighting where required, risk/issues to governance groups or team members Enables teams & leaders to make quality decisions and support in prioritization exercises Defines, executes and maintains internal and external governance, with objective of creating transparency and facilitate decision making through clear processes and accountability Work in partnership with business units and functions leadership to ensure resources are allocated to the right work, within headcount and budget. Agile Project Management: Lead and manage multiple projects using agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban, etc.), ensuring effective sprint planning, backlog grooming, and release planning. Ensure that teams are empowered and equipped to work efficiently. JIRA/Confluence Management: Use JIRA to manage project workflows, track progress, assign tasks, and ensure transparency across all teams. Create and manage Confluence documentation to facilitate knowledge sharing, project updates, and process documentation. Team Collaboration: Facilitate agile ceremonies (daily standups, sprint planning, retrospectives, etc.) and promote effective communication and collaboration across development, product, and business teams. Mentor and support team members to ensure continuous improvement. Stakeholder Management: Build strong relationships with key stakeholders, including product owners, process owners, and internal clients. Provide clear and actionable project updates using JIRA dashboards and Confluence reports, ensuring that all stakeholders are aligned with project objectives. Project Planning & Execution: Oversee the full lifecycle of agile projects, including scope definition, resource allocation, timeline management, and risk mitigation. Ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget. Progress Monitoring & Reporting: Regularly update JIRA boards and Confluence pages to track project progress, document outcomes, and highlight key performance indicators (KPIs). Prepare and present project status reports for senior leadership and stakeholders. Risk Management: Proactively identify risks and issues impacting project timelines, quality, or scope. Develop mitigation strategies and escalate issues as needed to keep projects on track. Continuous Improvement: Foster a culture of continuous learning and improvement by encouraging the use of agile best practices and promoting a feedback-driven environment. Lead retrospectives to identify opportunities for process optimization Requirements Skills/Qualifications: Experience: 6-10 years of experience in project management, with at least 4 years managing agile projects using JIRA and Confluence. Proven track record in successfully managing complex projects in a fast-paced environment. Skills/Qualifications: Agile Expertise: Strong experience with agile frameworks (Scrum, Kanban, SAFe, etc.) and a deep understanding of agile principles. Scrum Master certification or similar credentials are preferred. JIRA/Confluence Expertise: Advanced proficiency in JIRA for managing backlogs, sprints, and project tracking. Project Management Skills: Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, with strong organizational and time-management skills. Have a solid business understanding. Independently use quantitative and qualitative data to drive decision-making and lead by example Analytical skills and mastery of data handling, able to tell a clear story with data/insights Experience in managing 3rd Party Vendors in IT projects "bgts INT"

Lead complex finance-sector IT projects from planning through delivery, aligning scope, resources, timelines, and priorities with business objectives. Manage agile delivery, governance, stakeholder communication, risks, reporting, and continuous improvement across teams and vendors.
Requirements
Requires 6–10 years of project management experience, including at least 4 years managing agile projects with JIRA and Confluence, plus a record of delivering complex projects. Candidates should have strong agile, organizational, analytical, data-handling, business, and vendor-management skills; Scrum Master certification or similar credentials are preferred.
