Job Description
Design PCBs, test tooling and fixes that keep our data-glove production running and scaling. EUR 4,000 to 5,000 gross per month (full-time) · 32 to 40 hours · Geldrop, next to Eindhoven, hybrid (three office days at 40 hours) · Start as soon as possible At MANUS, we develop and produce data gloves with electromagnetic (EMF) tracking for precise, drift-free hand and finger tracking, used in robotics, Physical AI, XR and motion capture. Our volumes are growing and components are getting scarce again. As our Mechatronics Engineer for Production and PCB Design, you are the hardware engineer who keeps production running and helps it scale. What you will do Be the first point of contact for technical issues from our in-house production. Analyse RMAs and failed boards, and turn recurring failures into improvements. Find and test drop-in replacement components, and design the PCB revisions they need. Build test set-ups, fixtures and production tooling, from schematic to 3D-printed housing to test script. Design prototype boards for new sensors selected by our Senior Mechatronics Engineer. After your first year, our test set-ups handle larger volumes reliably, faults are caught before the final test, and component shortages no longer stop production. What we are looking for Several PCB designs of your own in series production, at least a few hundred units, designed for manufacturing and testing. Experience analysing failures of electronic products. Simple mechanical design in 3D CAD for housings and fixtures. Basic scripting for test and production tooling. Technical discussions in English without searching for words. Dutch is not required. Altium, SolidWorks and 3D printing are a plus. If you design in another PCB package, that is fine. What we offer Flexible hours, 27 holiday days and 8% holiday allowance, a modern pension, a travel allowance, cooking together for lunch every Thursday, and development and production under one roof. Interested? Contact Bob van den Berg (Head of Talent Acquisition a.i.) at +31 6 4210 7944 or [email protected]. Curious but not ready to apply?
