Job Description

Become our expert in pressure sensing for data gloves used in robotics, Physical AI and research. EUR 5,000 to 6,000 gross per month (full-time) · 32 to 40 hours · Geldrop, next to Eindhoven, hybrid (three office days at 40 hours) · Start as soon as possible. At MANUS, we develop and produce data gloves with electromagnetic (EMF) tracking for precise, drift-free hand and finger tracking, used by more than 2,000 research institutions and technology companies and integrated into NVIDIA Isaac Lab. Sensor and actuator companies bring us their newest technology, and we have more ideas than engineers. As our Senior Mechatronics Engineer, you become our product expert for pressure gloves. What you will do Research and test new pressure sensors and actuators, and compare them on performance and on the company behind them. Build prototypes and proofs of concept that combine electronics, mechanics and software. Add pressure sensing to our current glove and help shape our next generation. Stay in technical contact with sensor and actuator companies about samples, support and demos. Take on smaller technical challenges alongside your main project; we have more ideas than engineers. This is a research and prototyping role. PCB design is a bonus, not a requirement: our Mechatronics Engineer for Production and PCB Design turns your requirements into boards. After your first year, you are our internal expert on pressure sensing, you have delivered pressure updates for our current glove, and your prototypes have shaped our next generation. What we are looking for Prototypes or proofs of concept you built that combine electronics, mechanics and software. Enough electronics knowledge to select, connect and judge sensors and actuators. Experience comparing technologies and turning that into a clear recommendation. Comfort with technical contact with suppliers and partners. Technical discussions in English without searching for words. Dutch is not required. What we offer Flexible hours, 27 holiday days and 8% holiday allowance, a modern pension, a travel allowance, cooking together for lunch every Thursday, and new technology on your desk in a company that develops and produces in-house. Interested? Contact Bob van den Berg (Head of Talent Acquisition a.i.) at +31 6 4210 7944 or [email protected]. Curious but not ready to apply? The full job profile is available on request from Bob van den Berg, no application needed!

Core Responsibilities
