Job Description

A Snapshot of Your Day Join Siemens Energy as a Senior Technician at the Hollandse Kust Nord (HKN) offshore wind farm, where your expertise will play a vital role in ensuring business continuity and operational stability. Imagine leading advanced preventative and corrective maintenance efforts while engaging in complex technical troubleshooting. You will mentor local technician teams, fostering a culture of safety and collaboration. Your work will directly minimize turbine downtime and optimize energy production, contributing to a sustainable future in the offshore wind sector. How You’ll Make An Impact You will perform complex mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic troubleshooting and repairs on offshore wind turbine generators (WTGs). Execute scheduled preventative maintenance, diagnostic tests, and system commissioning in line with Siemens Energy standards and safety protocols. Analyze turbine performance data and diagnostic logs to identify root causes of recurring technical issues and implement corrective actions. Provide technical guidance, mentoring, and on-the-job training to junior and newly hired local technicians, enhancing local capabilities. Enforce strict offshore safety standards, ensuring compliance with Zero Harm policies and local Dutch regulations during all operations. What You Bring You hold a vocational degree or technical diploma in Electrical, Mechanical, or Mechatronics Engineering, or an equivalent technical apprenticeship. With 4 to 6 years of experience in wind turbine maintenance, you have at least 2 to 3 years specifically in an offshore wind environment. You possess advanced technical expertise in Wind Turbine Generator (WTG) diagnostics and troubleshooting of high voltage (HV) and low voltage (LV) electrical systems. Ideally your certifications include GWO Basic Safety Training (BST), GWO Enhanced First Aid (EFA), and Offshore Medical Certificate (NOGEPA/NOG or equivalent). You are skilled in risk assessment, incident reporting, and have a strong commitment to safety and compliance in offshore operations. Core Responsibilities

Requirements

Requires a vocational degree, technical diploma, or equivalent apprenticeship in electrical, mechanical, or mechatronics engineering, plus 4–6 years of wind turbine maintenance experience, including 2–3 years offshore. Candidates should have advanced WTG and HV/LV troubleshooting expertise; GWO safety and first-aid training and an offshore medical certificate are listed as ideal, and availability for a 7-days-on/7-days-off rotation is required.
