This internship gives you hands-on exposure to real campaigns, where your ideas matter and your work directly impacts thousands of students worldwide. About Socials Socials is the biggest student ecosystem helping international students prepare, adapt, and connect when moving abroad. Operating in 150+ student cities, we connect 100,000+ students each year through online communities, events, and partnerships. Beyond connection, we help students find housing and settle the early essentials like banking and trips, so they can start their journey stress-free. We build and manage student communities at scale, helping students connect, find housing, and navigate their new city from day one. We're a remote-first company with an international team across Europe and Asia. Your Role As a Digital Marketing Intern, you will be part of our marketing team, focusing primarily on chat marketing, while also gaining exposure to email marketing and broader strategy. You will be involved in both planning and execution, learning how to: >> Engage and grow student communities >> Identify and nurture leads >> Convert engagement into real results >> You will work closely with multiple teams, ensuring alignment between different marketing channels. What You’ll Be Doing Align with the team and set daily priorities Analyze different cities and identify promotional opportunities Coordinate with event schedules and student communities Execute chat marketing campaigns across multiple markets Prioritize actions based on audience, timing, and impact Grow our audience in different cities worldwide Promote our events and communities globally Organize and track ongoing marketing operations Support and engage with international students moving abroad What We’re Looking For Strong interest in marketing and willingness to learn Good communication skills, both written and verbal Proactive mindset and ownership Detail-oriented and organized Affinity with the student and international environment Available to start in December, full-time, for a period of 3 to 6 months. Able to work 3 to 4 days per week from our Rotterdam office What We Offer Internship compensation (€300–€350) + performance bonuses Opportunity to grow into a full-time or part-time role Work in an international team Hybrid setup (office + remote flexibility) Team activities and a social work environment If you do not live in Rotterdam but somewhere else in the Netherlands, you are still welcome to apply, though please note we do not cover transportation costs.

Core Responsibilities

Plan and execute chat marketing campaigns across multiple markets, growing student audiences and promoting events and communities. Analyze city-specific opportunities, coordinate with teams and event schedules, and organize ongoing marketing operations while supporting international students.

Requirements

Applicants should have a strong interest in marketing, a willingness to learn, good written and verbal communication, and a proactive, organized, detail-oriented approach. They must be available full-time for 3 to 6 months starting in December and able to work 3 to 4 days per week from the Rotterdam office.
