About the job Bleckmann has developed a global framework of H&S standards and procedures which it aims to implement over the coming 5 years. As our operations move towards a similar level of risk control, we are looking for an H&S professional with a strong auditing background who can conduct process-based audits across 40 sites located in Spain, England, The Netherlands, Belgium, and the U.S. Your role As a Global Health & Safety Auditor, you will be responsible for establishing and executing a global audit program across Bleckmann’s international operations. You will assess compliance with H&S standards and procedures, support continuous improvement, and provide assurance on the effectiveness of risk controls throughout the organization. You will work closely with site leadership teams and key stakeholders while providing an independent view on Health & Safety performance and compliance. Your responsibilities Global Audit Program Establish a global audit program Conduct on-site audits in accordance with the audit program Track and enforce the closure of findings with auditees Report on overall assurance results to the Global H&S Director Audit & Assurance Conduct process-based audits across Bleckmann sites Assess compliance with Health & Safety standards and procedures Evaluate the effectiveness of risk controls and management systems Provide objective findings and improvement recommendations Stakeholder Management Work closely with auditees and site management teams Support stakeholders in understanding audit outcomes Explain how to take auditees along and motivate improvement Promote a culture of continuous improvement across the organization Your profile Must have Experience as a H&S professional Experience in auditing H&S management systems Professional certification in the field of H&S management IRCA Certification as an ISO 45001 Lead Auditor Sound knowledge of Holnagel’s Safety II and Safety I philosophy Thorough understanding of Dekker’s Safety Differently Ability to explain how to take auditees along and motivate improvement Willing to travel >50% of the time Fluent in English Nice to have Certified coach Proficiency in the following languages: Dutch French Spanish What we offer An international role with exposure to operations across Europe and the United States The opportunity to contribute to the implementation of Bleckmann’s global H&S framework A high-impact position focused on continuous improvement and operational excellence Collaboration with stakeholders across multiple countries and business units Opportunities for professional growth and development A competitive salary package with attractive benefits At Bleckmann, we are guided by our values: We take a parachute and jump (Entrepreneurship), we unpack our knowledge (Expertise), we raise the bar with every box (Excellence), and we spark energy that connects (Engagement).

Core Responsibilities

Establish and execute a global Health and Safety audit program, conducting process-based audits across international sites and assessing compliance with standards and procedures. Evaluate risk controls, report assurance results, track closure of findings, and work with site leaders and stakeholders to encourage continuous improvement.

Requirements

Requires experience as a Health and Safety professional, experience auditing Health and Safety management systems, a professional Health and Safety management certification, and IRCA certification as an ISO 45001 Lead Auditor. Candidates must understand Safety I, Safety II, and Safety Differently philosophies, be able to motivate auditees, travel more than 50% of the time, and be fluent in English.
