Senior Commercial Analyst - Supply Partnerships
Key Skills
Job Description
We are looking for a Senior Commercial Analyst to join our Supply Partnerships team. Vio compares hotel prices from more than 100 booking sites, and behind those prices are dozens of supply partners: OTAs, wholesalers, bed banks, hotel chains and connectivity providers. Each partner differs in what inventory it has, how competitive its prices are, what commission it pays and how reliable it is. The same room often reaches us through several partners at different prices and on different terms. Your job is to make all of this measurable and turn it into commercial recommendations: which partners to grow, what to negotiate, where our inventory is weak and which new partners to bring in. This is an analyst role with a commercial focus: you think in margin, coverage and commercial terms, and you pull your own data to back it up. This is a stakeholder-facing, ownership-heavy role. Partnerships managers own the relationships with our partners and the day-to-day work with them. You own the analysis behind the decisions: the business cases, the recommendations and the reporting they run on. ☑️ What you'll do Own supply performance Own how we measure each supply partner: define the KPIs, monitor them and keep them relevant as the business changes Be the go-to person for what changed in supply performance and why, and spot shifts before partners or leadership ask Drive supply development with data Find where our inventory is weak: destinations, hotel segments and rate types where we have no rates or lose on price. Size the gap and recommend which partners to source to close it Understand where each partner's inventory comes from. When the same rooms reach us through several partners, work out which route gives us the best price and terms, and build the case for shifting volume or integrating closer to the source Prioritise the pipeline of new partner integrations with sizing and opportunity analysis Support commercial negotiations Build business cases and scenarios for negotiations, for example commission tiers, access to new inventory or rate types, and joint promotions Prepare the numbers and the storyline for partner reviews and negotiations that partnerships managers lead Measure the results of promotions and campaigns run with partners and feed them into the next deal Build the reporting the team runs on Build and maintain the dashboards and reports the team uses in day-to-day partner management, and standardise how partner performance is measured and communicated Turn the most common questions into self-serve reporting, so that the team's time, and yours, goes to decisions rather than data pulls. We use LLM tools for this and expect you to use them too Work as part of the analytics chapter: share what you learn, review peers' work and reuse what others built The team You will work closely with: Head of Commercial, who leads our Supply Team Supply Partnerships managers, who own the relationships with our providers Product managers and engineers working on provider integrations and the marketplace A horizontal analytics chapter for knowledge sharing and peer review You will report to Gleb, our Marketplace Analytics Lead. 🔎 Who you are 8+ years in a commercial analytics or business analytics role where you drove high-impact commercial decisions with data Supply, partnerships or account optimisation experience in a marketplace Strong SQL. You write your own queries against a data warehouse (we use Snowflake) and don't wait for someone to pull data for you Comfortable modelling scenarios in spreadsheets and building reports in a BI tool such as Looker Built business cases with sizing the opportunity, modelling the scenarios and making clear recommendations successfully defended to senior stakeholders Clear communicator: you explain numbers and recommendations to commercial stakeholders in terms they can act on You have owned metrics, reporting or a commercial domain end-to-end You use AI tools such as Claude in your daily work and want to get better at it Nice to have Experience in travel or hotel distribution: you know how hotel inventory flows through OTAs, wholesalers, bed banks, channel managers and connectivity providers Basic A/B testing and statistics understanding Experience building LLM-based tools for analytics We encourage people from all ethnic groups, genders, sexuality, ages and abilities to apply.
