Location: Wijchen, Netherlands Department: Procurement Company: Mpac Langen B.V. Join our Procurement team Are you organised, detail-focused and interested in purchasing within a technical environment? We're looking for an Assistant Purchaser to join our Procurement team at Mpac Langen B.V. in Wijchen. This is a varied position where you'll play an important role in supporting the purchasing process, working closely with colleagues and suppliers to ensure orders are processed accurately, deliveries remain on schedule and purchasing information is kept up to date. What will you be doing? As an Assistant Purchaser, you'll provide both administrative and operational support to the Procurement team. Your responsibilities will include: Processing the administration associated with purchase orders and order confirmations Following up with suppliers to ensure order confirmations are received on time Proactively contacting suppliers when deliveries are delayed or at risk of delay Checking purchase orders against supplier confirmations, including delivery dates, prices and quantities Identifying and resolving discrepancies Processing and maintaining purchasing information within the ERP system Supporting the resolution of discrepancies relating to purchase invoices Processing approved supplier price changes in collaboration with the Purchasers Maintaining accurate purchasing documentation and records Identifying opportunities to improve purchasing processes and administrative procedures What are we looking for? We're looking for someone who enjoys working in a busy environment where accuracy, organisation and communication are important. Ideally, you will have: MBO-level education or equivalent level of working and thinking Previous experience within purchasing, procurement or a similar administrative role An interest in or affinity with engineering and technology Experience working with ERP systems and automated data processing Strong organisational and time-management skills The ability to prioritise multiple tasks and deadlines Excellent attention to detail and a structured approach to your work Good communication and problem-solving skills Good written and spoken Dutch and English Why this role? Core Responsibilities

Requirements
The role seeks someone with MBO-level education or equivalent, experience in purchasing, procurement, or a similar administrative role, and an interest in engineering or technology. Candidates should be organised, detail-focused, comfortable with ERP systems, able to manage competing deadlines, and proficient in written and spoken Dutch and English.
