At this time, we are not able to provide relocation support. ABOUT THE JOB As a Senior Electrical Engineer, you will play a leading role in bringing Qlayers’ innovative coating technology to life. Working closely with multidisciplinary teams, you will translate ambitious ideas into robust, reliable machines that can be manufactured, and deployed by customers around the world. You will take ownership of the electrical design of our systems, from early concepts and architecture through detailed engineering, integration, testing, and continuous improvement. As a technical expert, you will solve complex engineering challenges, drive design decisions, and ensure our machines meet the highest standards of quality, safety, and performance. Beyond developing new technology, you will help shape the way we engineer our products. You’ll contribute to best practices, support and mentor colleagues, and play an important role in building a strong engineering culture within a fast-growing and highly innovative environment. Your key responsibilities: Lead the design and improvement of electrical schematics using EPLAN P8 (or similar). Ensure all electrical systems comply with safety and regulatory standards such as NEN 3140, IEC 60204-1, and CE. Evaluate and select suitable electrical and electronic components to optimize system performance. Supervise the assembly and testing of electrical cabinets and prototypes. Apply EMC principles and ensure safe, reliable designs. Collaborate with cross-functional teams and provide technical guidance throughout the project lifecycle. WE ARE LOOKING FOR: A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Automation Engineering, or a related field. 5+ years of experience designing and developing electrical systems for industrial equipment, machinery, automation systems, or other complex technical products Experience taking electrical designs from concept through detailed engineering, integration, testing, and commissioning. Strong knowledge of electrical design, industrial control systems, machine safety, and automation. Hands-on experience with EPLAN P8; experience with PLCs and industrial automation systems is a plus. Familiarity with relevant standards and regulations, such as IEC/EN 60204, ISO 13849, CE, or equivalent. The ability to define system architectures, translate requirements into robust engineering solutions, and solve complex technical challenges. The ability to look beyond individual components and consider how design decisions impact the overall system, the production process, and the end user. Strong communication skills and experience collaborating with multidisciplinary teams throughout the product development lifecycle. A hands-on, well-organized approach, with the flexibility to thrive in a fast-moving scale-up environment. WE OFFER: Salary range EUR 4500– 5400 gross per month for a 40-hour work week.
