We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Reinsurance Life & Health Accounting Specialist to join our Finance Department. This role apart of accounting tasks will be responsible for driving improvements, transformation and move to the analytical world. What You Can Expect Handle own assigned portfolio from end-to-end perspective: booking the accounts in the SAP, confirmation of open balances and managing of ingoing and outgoing payments, outstanding balances Participate in the quarterly end closing process and adhere to established controls Communicate effectively with external parties such as cedents and brokers Collaborate with internal teams including Business Services, Claims, Underwriting, and IT Participate in projects, improvement of processes Responsible for guidelines and their maintenance Actively contributes to testing and participates in system changes, UATs and system migrations Trains new joiners on the basics and serves as point of contact for knowledge sharing What We Expect University education, preferably in Finance, Accounting, Insurance, or Reinsurance. Hands-on experience in Life & Health reinsurance accounting. Minimum 4 years of relevant Life & Health reinsurance accounting experience within 6–10 years of total professional experience Proven understanding of Life & Health reinsurance accounting processes, bookings, controls, and reporting Ability to work independently and manage complex accounting topics in a Life & Health reinsurance environment Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines. Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy. Core Responsibilities
Manage an assigned Life and Health reinsurance portfolio end to end, including SAP bookings, balance confirmations, payments, outstanding balances, and quarterly closing controls. Collaborate with external and internal stakeholders, improve processes, maintain guidelines, support system changes and migrations, and train new team members.
Requirements
A university education, preferably in Finance, Accounting, Insurance, or Reinsurance, and at least four years of relevant Life and Health reinsurance accounting experience within six to ten years of total professional experience are expected. Candidates should have strong knowledge of reinsurance accounting processes and controls, advanced Excel and SAP or equivalent system skills, attention to detail, and strong communication skills; Power BI, SQL, data analysis, AI, data warehouse, and migration experience are advantageous.
