- Install, configure, maintain, and optimize Oracle databases in production environments.
- Analyse database and application performance and provide performance tuning recommendations.
- Monitor database and application environments and develop preventive monitoring and alerting solutions.
- Ensure database availability, security, privacy, backup, recovery, and data integrity.
- Provide 24x7 production support, incident resolution, and standby/on-call support.
- Support automated deployment and CI/CD activities using Azure DevOps, Git, Maven, and Ansible.
- Create monitoring dashboards and solutions using Grafana, Kibana, and Prometheus.
- Work with development and operations teams to improve deployment processes and reduce delivery lead time.
- Support enterprise applications involving TIBCO BW 5.x and EMS.
- 8–10 years of overall professional experience in Oracle Database Administration, database engineering, or related roles.
- Strong hands-on experience with Oracle DBA and PL/SQL.
- Experience in database performance tuning, optimization, backup, recovery, and troubleshooting.
- Strong knowledge of relational databases, with Oracle experience preferred.
- Good experience with TIBCO BW 5.x and TIBCO EMS.
- Experience with Grafana, Kibana, Prometheus, and monitoring dashboard creation.
- Knowledge of Azure DevOps, Git, Maven, and Ansible.
- Strong scripting knowledge in Bash/Unix.
- Understanding of CI/CD and automated deployment across containerized and non-containerized environments.
- Knowledge of Agile, Scrum/Kanban, Risk, and Compliance practices.
- Diagnose complex database and application performance issues and implement effective tuning solutions.
- Develop proactive monitoring and alerting mechanisms to prevent production incidents.
- Troubleshoot Oracle database issues and maintain high availability and reliability.
- Handle 24x7 production support, incidents, and on-call responsibilities.
- Automate operational and deployment activities using scripting and DevOps tools.
- Collaborate with development, infrastructure, and application teams to improve system performance and delivery efficiency.
- Work effectively under pressure and communicate clearly with technical and business stakeholders.
- Ensure all database and operational activities comply with security, privacy, risk, and compliance requirements.
