As a business analyst, you connect data, transport and customer needs. You analyse complex challenges, translate insights into practical solutions and play an important role in continuously improving our services.

You work closely with operations, customers and various internal stakeholders, acting as the connecting link between data, operations, customers and the wider organisation. Using your analytical expertise, you provide insights and recommendations that contribute to better customer solutions and more efficient processes: you’re on it.

How you do this? You are responsible for analysing and interpreting complex freight data from existing customers. You provide insight into transport flows, volumes, costs and operational performance, and translate your analyses into clear, well-founded recommendations for both customers and operations.

You also play an important role in tenders and quotation processes. You analyse tender data, identify relevant trends and optimisation opportunities, and translate these into appropriate and commercially sound transport solutions. You combine data analysis with your knowledge of the transport industry and know how to turn complex challenges into clear insights and tangible opportunities for improvement.

In addition, you are involved in strategic and operational projects within the freight organisation, from the initial analysis and definition of the solution through to implementation for the customer. You work with different internal disciplines and stakeholders and ensure that improvement initiatives are translated into workable solutions that deliver tangible results.

You maintain an overview of the relationship between processes, data and customer needs, identify opportunities and bottlenecks, and take responsibility for successful execution. In doing so, you are a strong subject-matter sparring partner for both operations and customers and make a direct contribution to the further development and optimisation of our services. You achieve this by:

• analysing transport data and customer information, providing insight into transport flows, volumes, costs and performance and translating these into concrete recommendations;
• developing tenders and quotations by analysing data, identifying opportunities and contributing to appropriate, well-substantiated solutions for potential customers;
• developing, optimising and implementing solutions by translating complex challenges into practical improvements and delivering these together with various stakeholders.

You bring

• a Bachelor's or Master's degree-level education and thinking, complemented by knowledge of transport and several years of relevant experience in a similar analytical or commercial role;
• strong analytical and conceptual skills and excellent Excel skills, enabling you to understand large volumes of customer, freight and tender data and translate these into clear insights and well-founded recommendations;
• a proactive, structured and results-oriented approach to work. You can easily switch between different challenges and stakeholders, think in terms of solutions and know how to translate complex processes into practical and achievable improvements.
