# Senior UX Designer ## About the Role CoAd, an Aquiline Capital Partners portfolio company, is seeking a Senior UX Designer to join its growing UX organization. This is a hands-on senior role with the opportunity to shape product direction, evolve the platform, grow the design system, and help define how AI is incorporated into design practices. You’ll design experiences for essential workforce processes including payroll, benefits, HR administration, compliance, and employee self-service. Working closely with UX leadership, product, and engineering, you’ll create clear, scalable, production-ready experiences for complex and high-stakes workflows while influencing product direction and team practices. ## Key Responsibilities * Take ownership of complex, high-impact UX experiences and workflows. * Design clear, accurate, and trustworthy experiences for critical workforce processes. * Design complex workflows including payroll processing, HR administration, and multi-step self-service experiences. * Surface relevant information at the right time to support decision-making and error recovery. * Create prototypes ranging from quick explorations to high-fidelity interaction demonstrations for testing and alignment. * Deliver production-ready Figma files with states, edge cases, and implementation-ready specifications. * Shape scalable UX patterns and systems across the platform. * Contribute to and evolve the design system through components, patterns, and documentation. * Use AI tools to accelerate research, synthesis, prototyping, iteration, and content drafting. * Present and defend design decisions with clear rationale. * Lead design critiques and incorporate stakeholder feedback to strengthen outcomes. * Collaborate closely with UX leadership, product, and engineering. * Recommend UX processes and best practices that improve team effectiveness. * Define scalable UX models and mentor other designers. * Deliver designs within sprint cycles and focus on core workflows. * Contribute to mobile experiences. * Help shape how AI is used within the UX team's day-to-day practice. ## Required Qualifications * 5–7+ years of UX design experience in B2B or enterprise software. * Experience in payroll, HCM, PEO, or similarly complex or regulated domains. * Proven use of AI tools as part of a design workflow, including research synthesis, prototyping, iteration, or content drafting. * Demonstrated ability to design and present end-to-end workflows. * Comfort leading design critiques and communicating decisions with stakeholders. * Track record of delivering production-ready, high-quality design work. ## Preferred Qualifications * Experience contributing to or governing design systems. * Accessibility expertise, including WCAG 2.1 AA. * Experience with mobile and responsive enterprise product design. * Experience designing for multiple user roles or permission levels. * Experience integrating AI/LLMs into product or design workflows. ## Skills & Competencies * UX and interaction design * Enterprise and B2B product design * Complex workflow design * Design systems and scalable UX patterns * Figma and production-ready design * Prototyping and interaction design * AI-assisted design workflows * User research synthesis * Accessibility and inclusive design * Stakeholder communication and presentation * Design critiques and feedback * Cross-functional collaboration * Product thinking and problem solving * Mentoring and design leadership * Mobile and responsive design ## Education & Experience **Education** * No specific educational requirement is stated. **Experience** * 5–7+ years of UX design experience in B2B or enterprise software. * Experience in payroll, HCM, PEO, or similarly complex or regulated domains. * Demonstrated experience designing end-to-end workflows and delivering production-ready work. ## Work Arrangement & Schedule * **Work arrangement:** Remote work. * Sprint-based delivery and collaboration with UX leadership, product, and engineering. * The role includes contributions to mobile experiences. ## Compensation & Benefits **Benefits include:** * Health Insurance * Vision Insurance * 401(k) Matching * Paid Time Off (PTO) * Paid Holidays * Life Insurance * Short-term Disability * Remote Work ## About CoAd CoAd, an Aquiline Capital Partners portfolio company, helps businesses navigate workforce management through technology, expertise, and human support. Requirements

Candidates should demonstrate end-to-end workflow design, production-ready delivery, AI-assisted design workflows, and the ability to communicate decisions and lead critiques; accessibility, design systems, and mobile experience are preferred.
