Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Production Assistant role based in Gemert. The Production Assistant supports the daily coordination of production and shipping operations, working closely with Shift Leads, the Supply Chain Manager, and other operational departments. The role focuses on monitoring production progress, following up on production orders and material availability, maintaining accurate production and working-hour records, supporting manpower coordination, and assisting with daily and weekly operational reporting. The Production Assistant also helps coordinate temporary agency workers, monitors staffing and operational issues, and supports communication between the production floor and relevant departments. The role contributes to smooth daily operations by identifying delays, material shortages, manpower constraints, and other operational risks, and ensuring these are communicated and followed up in a timely manner. Key Responsibilities Provide daily hands-on support for production and shipping operations. Work closely with Shift Leads to follow up on daily production activities, priorities, and operational issues. Monitor daily production progress and assist in resolving or escalating issues that may affect output or delivery. Support the coordination of materials, production orders, finished goods, and shipping activities. Prepare and maintain daily and weekly production reports, KPI records, output data, and other operational reports. Ensure production data, working hours, and operational records are updated accurately and on time. Coordinate with temporary staffing agencies regarding agency workers, including manpower requirements, attendance, working hours, shift changes, and related administration. Check and maintain agency worker timesheets and working-hour records. Support Shift Leads with daily manpower coordination and communicate staffing issues to the Supply Chain Manager when required. Assist with the follow-up of production orders, material shortages, WIP, and finished goods status. Coordinate with Warehouse, Shipping, Quality, Maintenance, and other departments to support smooth daily operations. Support urgent production or shipping requirements and help adjust operational priorities when necessary. Maintain clear communication between the production floor and the Supply Chain Manager. Identify and report production delays, manpower shortages, material issues, or other operational risks in a timely manner. Support continuous improvement of daily production processes, reporting, and shop-floor coordination. Qualifications Previous experience in production, manufacturing, logistics, supply chain, or a similar operational environment is preferred. Good understanding of daily production operations, production orders, materials, WIP, finished goods, and shipping processes. Strong organizational and coordination skills, with the ability to follow up on multiple operational activities at the same time. Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively with Shift Leads, production employees, staffing agencies, and other departments. Strong attention to detail when maintaining production data, working-hour records, timesheets, reports, and operational documentation. Basic experience with production reporting, KPI tracking, data entry, or operational administration is preferred. Ability to identify operational issues, communicate them clearly, and escalate them when necessary. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced production environment and respond to changing operational priorities. Good teamwork skills and a practical, hands-on approach to daily operational support. Ability to follow company safety procedures, work instructions, and standard operating procedures consistently. Good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and other basic office software is preferred. Good working proficiency in English and/or Dutch is required.

Requirements

Previous experience in production, manufacturing, logistics, supply chain, or a similar operational setting is preferred, along with familiarity with production orders, materials, work in progress, finished goods, and shipping. Candidates should have strong coordination, communication, organizational, and record-keeping skills, basic reporting and KPI experience, working knowledge of Excel, and proficiency in English and/or Dutch.
