The Credit Risk Analyst, Europe plays a key role in managing trade credit risk across the region, ensuring compliance with policy and minimizing exposure. This role combines financial analysis, risk assessment, and stakeholder collaboration to support sustainable growth and protect the organization's financial health. Credit Risk Assessment & Management * Complete customer account reviews, including analysis of financial statements, to support new and ongoing credit facilities. * Maintain and manage EU Group credit facilities in line with policy. * Monitor alerts and notifications from various sources to ensure risk exposure is minimized or neutralized. Collections & Insurance Compliance * Provide data on above-average risk accounts to Collections for focused debt recovery. * Manage insurance policy compliance, including collection cases and claims. Customer Engagement & Risk Mitigation * Undertake customer development and risk management visits with stakeholders where appropriate. * Manage accounts in administration or liquidation in collaboration with relevant teams. Reporting & Analysis * Produce and enhance commercial credit risk reporting, delivering timely and accurate monthly reports. * Perform analysis to support credit risk strategy, policy development, and alternative financial offerings. Compliance & Audit Support * Maintain oversight of legal collection cases and ensure compliance with internal and external audit requirements. * Support ad hoc projects related to credit risk and financial governance. Must-Have Skills & Experience * CICM professional qualification and/or degree in a numerate discipline. * Extensive experience in a credit risk environment within a multinational organization. * Strong understanding of credit risk management principles and trade credit practices. * Advanced Excel skills and demonstrable reporting experience. * Excellent communication and presentation skills; ability to influence stakeholders. * Willingness to travel and remain contactable outside standard business hours. * Language: English (business fluency) Dutch, German or French would be a plus. Nice-to-Have Skills & Experience * Additional European language skills (French, German, or Dutch preferred). * Experience with credit risk systems and BI tools (Power BI, SAP). * Familiarity with insurance compliance and legal collection processes. Education & Qualifications * Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field. * CICM qualification strongly preferred. Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) * Accuracy and timeliness of credit risk assessments and reporting. * Compliance with insurance and credit policy requirements. * Reduction in overdue debt and bad debt exposure. * Positive feedback from internal stakeholders and external partners. Core Responsibilities
Assess customer creditworthiness, manage regional credit facilities, monitor risk exposure, and support collections and insurance compliance. Produce credit risk reports and analysis, collaborate with stakeholders on risk mitigation, and support policy, audit, and financial governance requirements.
Requirements
Requires extensive credit risk experience in a multinational organization, strong knowledge of trade credit practices, advanced Excel and reporting skills, and excellent communication and stakeholder-influencing abilities. A numerate degree and/or CICM qualification are sought; business-fluent English is required, while Dutch, German, or French is an advantage.
