Job Description
Global Supply Chain Planner Ready to make an impact where supply chain really happens? The right material. At the right time. At the right cost. At UltiMaker, Supply Chain Planning sits at the heart of our business. As our Supply Chain Planner, you connect demand, procurement and production, making sure our operations are ready to deliver — while keeping inventory, risk and working capital under control. You won't just maintain a planning system. You'll own the planning process, challenge the status quo and actively improve how our supply chain operates. If you enjoy turning data into decisions, creating structure in a dynamic environment and working closely with colleagues across the value chain, this is an opportunity to make a real impact. About UltiMaker At UltiMaker, we are shaping the future of 3D printing. Our Supply Chain & Manufacturing organization plays a key role in turning customer demand into high-quality products — from Plan, Source and Make to Deliver. Our ambition is to continuously improve performance, quality and output, enable successful new product industrialization, and manage costs and working capital effectively. As Supply Chain Planner, you are right at the heart of this value chain. You will own and drive the Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) process, manage planning routines and continuously optimize our supply chain and inventory performance. You will be the expert when it comes to Material Requirements Planning (MRP) and Inventory Projection, ensuring that we have the right materials, at the right time, while maintaining healthy inventory levels. What will you be doing? As our Supply Chain Planner, you will: Be part of the Zaltbommel Supply Chain & Manufacturing expert team and prepare the S&OP process. Own and control the 12-month rolling Operations Plan, including uploading and maintaining MRP. Run and manage Inventory Projections, ensuring the right balance between supply risk and healthy inventory turns. Analyze, maintain and continuously optimize MRP settings, parameters and planning assumptions. Lead End-of-Life (EOL) planning and proactively minimize inventory obsolescence exposure. Provide input to Procurement to improve upstream supply conditions, including lead times and Minimum Order Quantities (MOQs) for high-value items. Work closely with internal stakeholders such as Trade Units, Procurement and Production to evaluate and improve planning performance. Identify opportunities for improvement across the end-to-end value chain and initiate or support Lean Six Sigma improvement initiatives. Bring structure, data and transparency to planning decisions and proactively highlight risks and opportunities. Your place in the organization You will report directly to the Head of SC&M and act as a key expert within the Supply Chain & Manufacturing management team. This is a role with significant visibility across the organization. You will work closely with multiple functions and have a direct impact on how effectively we plan, produce and deliver our products. What makes this role interesting? This is more than a planning role. You will be positioned at the center of our supply chain, connecting demand, procurement, production and business priorities. If you enjoy working with data but also want to influence decisions, improve processes and see the tangible impact of your work, this could be your next challenge. Do you fit this profile? We are looking for someone who combines strong analytical and planning skills with a hands-on and collaborative approach. You bring: A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration or a related field. At least 5 years of relevant experience in Supply Planning and Inventory Management. A strong understanding of the end-to-end supply chain and how planning decisions impact the wider business. Experience with MRP, inventory planning and S&OP. Strong analytical skills and a structured, accurate way of working. Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 (D365) is a plus. Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively with different stakeholders. A proactive, hands-on mindset: you don't wait for problems to solve themselves — you take ownership and act. The ability to create structure in a dynamic and changing environment. Professional fluency in English; Dutch is appreciated. A natural tendency to lead by example, collaborate and continuously look for ways to improve. Working at UltiMaker We believe that collaboration works best when people spend meaningful time together. This position is therefore hybrid, with a minimum of three days per week working from our office in Zaltbommel.
Core Responsibilities
Own the 12-month rolling operations plan and S&OP process, manage MRP and inventory projections, and balance supply risks with healthy inventory levels. Coordinate with procurement, production, and other stakeholders to improve planning performance, reduce obsolescence, and drive end-to-end supply chain improvements.
Requirements
Requires a bachelor's or master's degree in supply chain management, logistics, business administration, or a related field, plus at least five years of relevant supply planning and inventory management experience. Candidates should have experience with MRP, inventory planning, and S&OP, strong analytical and communication skills, and professional fluency in English; Dutch and Microsoft Dynamics 365 experience are advantageous.
