We are looking for a Technology Specialist for the production of high-value proteins such as lactoferrin, caseinate and whey proteins. You contribute to improvements in safety, quality, yield, sustainability and cost. Are you passionate about process technology and data, and do you enjoy working with people at all levels? Then we should talk. You will be part of a professional team of around 20 technologists. As a Process Technologist, your duties and responsibilities include:• Improving processes to enhance safety, quality, yield, sustainability, and/or reduce costs.• Leading (small) process improvements and root cause analyses of deviations.• Acquiring profound knowledge of operational processes and their interrelations within plants.• Leading and contributing to the site’s transition towards a more data-driven way of working, including setting important data standards in collaboration with R&D, the central Digital Team, and the central Technology department.• Supporting and advising internal and external stakeholders on process-related matters.• Embracing new ideas and sharing knowledge within FrieslandCampina to continuously improve processes.• A relevant Master’s degree, preferably in Process Technology or Process Engineering.• Some experience in the process industry, preferably within the food or pharma industry.• Ability to communicate at different levels and motivate stakeholders effectively.• Ability to lead small (non-Capex) projects or willingness to learn.• Solid communication skills in Dutch or English.• Strong planning and organizational skills.• A proactive attitude, taking ownership in analyzing and offering solutions. We also encourage young professionals who have just started their career to apply. The Technology team in Veghel consists of 20 technologists with experience ranging from 0 to 30 years. We enjoy our work and regularly discuss the challenges we face during lunch, but we also value taking walks and chatting about non-work-related topics. We work in a large open office, making it easy to ask questions and collaborate across disciplines. The culture is very open and informal; it’s common to approach an operations or logistics manager directly without an appointment. Our office is located at the heart of the Veghel site, surrounded by all production plants. This proximity makes it easy to quickly connect with production for questions or checks. The operators are collaborative and eager to help find solutions to challenges and projects. In addition to our daily work, we play a leading role in the transition towards a more data-driven way of working. We are actively involved in setting important data standards, not only for our own site but also as one of FrieslandCampina’s key locations shaping the company’s broader data strategy. This requires close collaboration with R&D, the central Digital Team, and the central Technology department. Together, we ensure that our processes are not only state-of-the-art today but also ready for tomorrow's challenges.

Core Responsibilities

Improve production processes to enhance safety, quality, yield, and sustainability while reducing costs, and lead small process improvements and root cause analyses. Support the site’s shift to data-driven operations by developing data standards with central and R&D teams, while advising stakeholders and sharing process knowledge.

Requirements

A relevant master’s degree, preferably in Process Technology or Process Engineering, is preferred, along with some process-industry experience; early-career applicants are also encouraged. Candidates should communicate effectively in Dutch or English, organize and plan well, take ownership of problem solving, and be able to lead small projects or be willing to learn.
