Job Description

University Degree in IT, combined with 7 years of relevant IT professional experience; University degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related technical field, with practical knowledge in software development, databases, and small-scale system design. A solid foundation in software and database development is required to support data pre-processing and automation of business activities; At least 5 years of professional experience in software development; At least 5 years of professional experience with Microsoft SQL Server (T-SQL, SSIS, schema design, stored procedures, performance tuning); Proficiency with Python and frameworks for web development, data manipulation and automation; Proficiency with VBA applications (Excel, Access) including VBA scripting for developing automation scripts, data import/export utilities, and pre-processing tools; Good knowledge of the design, documentation and development of full stack solutions; Proficiency with Microsoft Power BI (data modelling, DAX, dashboards, reporting) for providing advanced visualization and reporting capabilities to support operational analysis; Proficiency in ETL processes and data-preparation technologies, including tools such as SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS), Power Query and Neo4j data-import or ETL utilities; Good working knowledge of version control systems (e.g., Git); Good working knowledge of relational database development, with a focus on Microsoft SQL Server, including data modelling, schema design, T-SQL, stored procedures, functions and query optimisation; Good working knowledge of application security, authentication, and authorisation concepts, including OAuth 2.0 and OpenID Connect; Good knowledge of agile software development methodologies with practical experience using Azure DevOps for backlog management, planning, source control, CI/CD pipelines and work tracking; Good knowledge and display of prerequisites of working in a flexible environment including participation in multi-lingual meetings, ease of communication, exposure to an international/multi-cultural environment, etc; Good knowledge of preparing and maintaining technical documentation for developed solutions; Good working knowledge of containerisation using Docker. Familiarity with container orchestration tools such as Kubernetes is an advantage; Knowledge of Microsoft .NET (C#) and ASP.NET Core will be an asset; Good knowledge of using Linux shell and basic Linux concepts (e.g., users, groups, rights) will be an asset; Good knowledge of Elasticsearch for indexing and querying complex, large or unstructured datasets; Excellent command of the English language

Core Responsibilities

Develop and maintain software, database, and full-stack solutions that support data preprocessing and business-process automation. Build ETL workflows, reporting and visualization capabilities, and automation tools using technologies such as Python, VBA, SQL Server, SSIS, and Power BI.

Requirements

Requires a relevant university degree and at least five years of professional software development experience, including at least five years working with Microsoft SQL Server. Candidates should be proficient in Python, VBA, ETL, Power BI, and related development tools, with knowledge of security, agile practices, Docker, and technical documentation; excellent English is required.
