About The Internship Our regulatory database tells companies around the world which rules apply to them, and you keep it complete and accurate. You'll join our regulatory team to research ESG laws, directives, reporting frameworks and guidelines across different jurisdictions, analyze them with AI tools, and add them to the database. We're expanding into new jurisdictions and new types of regulation, so what you add goes straight into a product our clients use. In This Role, You Will Research ESG-related regulations in the jurisdictions assigned to you, using parliament and government sources, and add around 15 new entries to our database each week Analyze regulations with AI tools, and run quality checks on your entries Clear our backlog and keep the database current by fixing dead links and tracking proposed regulations and consultations Support research projects for clients and internal teams, about two a month What You'll Learn You'll learn how ESG regulation works across legal systems, from binding laws to voluntary frameworks, and how to use AI tools in legal research without losing accuracy. You'll get training sessions with the team, biweekly 1:1s with your manager, and ongoing feedback from colleagues. Who We're Looking For You will thrive here if you: Are following a bachelor's or master's program, in law, international relations, political science, sustainability or a related field Have strong research and legal analysis skills, understand the difference between hard law and soft norms, and work with a high level of accuracy Speak and write fluent English, at an advanced level Are comfortable with Word, Excel and PowerPoint Datamaran is the AI-powered governance platform for enterprise. Core Responsibilities
Research ESG-related laws, directives, reporting frameworks, and guidelines across assigned jurisdictions, then analyze and enter them into the regulatory database. Check entry quality, update outdated records and links, track proposed regulations and consultations, and support client and internal research projects.
Requirements
Applicants should be enrolled in a bachelor's or master's program in law, international relations, political science, sustainability, or a related field. They should have strong research and legal analysis skills, understand the distinction between hard law and soft norms, communicate fluently in English, and be comfortable using Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
