Job Description

Loon: €3.780,00 per maand (including holiday allowance) Vacaturetekst: Position Summary The Program Coordinator is responsible for planning, implementing, and assessing student-centered programs and initiatives that enhance the overall student experience. This role involves managing day-to-day operations, coordinating events, and supporting the mission of the Office of Student Affairs by fostering an inclusive and supportive campus environment. Key Responsibilities Program Coordination Plan, develop, and execute programs that promote student engagement, personal development, and academic success. Organize orientation sessions, workshops, and events for new students. Collaborate with other departments to ensure programming aligns with institutional goals. Student Support Serve as a resource and point of contact for students, providing guidance on available services and programs. Address student concerns and refer issues to appropriate staff members or departments when necessary. Event Management Coordinate logistics for events, including scheduling, budgeting, communication, and evaluation. Ensure events are inclusive, accessible, and aligned with the needs of a diverse student population. Administrative Duties Maintain accurate records of programs, attendance, and feedback. Prepare reports on program effectiveness and student engagement. Assist with the development and distribution of communication materials, including emails, newsletters, and social media content. Qualifications Bachelor's degree preferred. Valid driver's license required. Access to a reliable vehicle is strongly preferred, as Kasteel Well is located in a rural area with limited public transportation options. Emergency Response Certification (BHV) preferred; training will be provided. Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills. Excellent written and verbal communication skills in both English and Dutch. Experience working with diverse student populations and international programs. Familiarity with student development theory and best practices in student affairs. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment. Proficiency in relevant software applications (e.g., student information systems, housing management systems, event management software, database systems, and communication and social media platforms). Work Environment and Schedule This position requires regular evening and weekend work to support student activities, events, and emergency response. Occasional travel may be required for excursions, day trips, conferences, and professional development opportunities. Full-time position (36 hours per week). Salary: €3,780 gross per month (including holiday allowance) Pension contributions are fully paid by the employer. Travel reimbursement of €0.23 per kilometer. Work shifts are: 8:15 AM – 3:45 PM and 3:45 PM – 11:15 PM The Office of Student Affairs operates seven days per week across three approximately 90-day semesters each year. Staff schedules may include weekdays, evenings, weekends, and holidays, based on operational and student-support needs

Core Responsibilities

Plan, deliver, and assess student-centered programs, orientation sessions, workshops, and events that support student engagement, development, and academic success. Provide students with guidance and referrals, coordinate event logistics, maintain program records, prepare effectiveness reports, and support communications.

Requirements

A bachelor's degree is preferred, and a valid driver's license is required; access to a reliable vehicle and emergency response certification (BHV) are preferred, with training provided for the certification. Candidates should have strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills; English and Dutch communication ability; experience with diverse student populations and international programs; knowledge of student development and student affairs; and proficiency with relevant administrative, event, and communication software.
