The Amsterdam-based team works closely with companies, investors, and creditors across Benelux and Europe, providing innovative solutions to complex financial and operational challenges. This role offers the opportunity to work on high-impact, multi-stakeholder, and cross-border restructuring engagements, contributing to meaningful outcomes for clients. How You Will Contribute Advise and implement alongside clients’ executives, investors, and stakeholders in distressed situations. Work with the team to offer critical support to companies that are under-performing or experiencing a full-blown liquidity crisis. Assist company management & help to stabilize financial and operational performance. Develop the skills to ascertain & understand a client’s rapidly changing situation and to enable creative and innovative solutions/options for the businesses and its stakeholders. Conduct diagnostic assessments of key issues, business outlooks, and liquidity forecasting. Develop and implement restructuring plans, integrated financial models, and short-term cash flow forecasting tools. Evaluate business plans and financial projections, identifying risks and opportunities. Build trusted relationships with key stakeholders in the Netherlands and the European restructuring community. Support business development activities, including creating client pitches and proposals. Examples Of Projects Include Financial and Operational Restructuring Balance Sheet Restructuring Asset Sales Cash & liquidity management and forecasting Cross-border wind-downs Preparation and validation of business plans for company management teams Detailed contract reviews Independent business reviews Short term cash flow forecasting frameworks Stakeholder reporting on PMO cost saving initiatives Profit Improvement (Sales Improvement and Cost Reduction) Qualifications Strong educational background with a focus on Finance. Fluent business-level Dutch and English are essential; additional European languages are highly valued. Experience (including internships) in Big4 firms or other established consulting organizations, IB environment or Private Equity is advantageous. Core Responsibilities

Support clients, executives, investors, and creditors through distressed situations by assessing financial and operational challenges and helping stabilize business performance. Develop restructuring plans, financial models, and cash forecasts; evaluate business plans; manage stakeholder relationships; and contribute to client proposals.

Requirements

A strong educational background focused on finance is required, along with business-level fluency in Dutch and English. Experience or internships in Big Four firms, established consulting organizations, investment banking, or private equity are advantageous.
