Job Description As a Graduation Intern – Supplier Portal Strategy & Design, you will investigate how DAF can best develop a professional supplier portal where suppliers can easily find the information, tools, and support they need. You will be responsible for conducting independent research and translating your findings into a practical recommendation and implementation roadmap. Your main responsibilities will include: Conducting interviews with suppliers and internal stakeholders to understand their needs and expectations; Benchmarking supplier portals used by leading automotive and industrial companies; Investigating best practices in supplier communication, self-service portals, and knowledge management; Analysing current supplier communication channels, processes, and pain points; Defining functional and non-functional requirements for a future supplier portal; Delivering a business case, strategic recommendation, and implementation roadmap for DAF Your profile You are pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business Administration, Industrial Engineering, Information Management, Digital Business, Supply Chain Management, or a related field; You have strong analytical and research skills – you know how to gather, analyse and interpret information; You are comfortable conducting interviews and engaging with different stakeholders independently; You are proactive, self-starting, and not afraid to take initiative – you drive the project forward; You have strong communication skills in English; Dutch is considered an advantage; You have an interest in digital transformation, customer experience, supplier management, and process improvement Department You will be joining the Supplier Quality Assurance (SQA) department, which plays a crucial role in maintaining DAF's high standards throughout the supply chain. The SQA team works to ensure that suppliers meet DAF's rigorous quality, delivery, and performance requirements. DAF recognises that strong supplier relationships are built on clear communication, easy access to information, and efficient support. Currently, supplier communication happens through various channels, and there is an opportunity to modernise this through a centralised, user-friendly portal. Your work will directly support DAF's strategic goal of enhancing supplier partnerships and driving operational excellence across the supply chain. Requirements
Applicants must be pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree in a relevant field such as business administration, industrial engineering, information management, digital business, or supply chain management. They should have strong analytical and research skills, be comfortable conducting interviews independently, take initiative, communicate well in English, and have an interest in digital transformation and supplier management; Dutch is an advantage.
