Job Description As an intern with the SOX Audit team, you will work directly with experienced SOX Auditors to assist in executing SOX testing procedures, including design and operating effectiveness testing, remediation test work, in accordance with established audit methodologies and standards (SOX 404 compliance) across designated locations. This internship provides an excellent opportunity to gain practical experience in internal control execution, risk management, and financial controls. You will be exposed to all financial areas of the Trucks and Finance company for the entire European organisation, giving you a comprehensive understanding of how various departments operate and interconnect. Your main responsibilities will include: Gathering and analysing data for SOX testing procedures; Executing SOX testing procedures under the guidance of experienced (Senior) SOX Auditors; Assisting in coordinating the SOX control testing program across multiple locations; Tracking, monitoring and preparing overall SOX assessment status and findings; Preparing reports for periodic reporting to DAF Senior Management and PACCAR Internal Audit; Contributing to remediation efforts where control weaknesses are identified; Your profile You are pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, Economics or a related field'; You have strong analytical skills and attention to detail; You have strong interpersonal skills (written and verbal) and strong project management skills; You are computer literate with basic applications like Excel and MS Office; You have an independent, pro-active and critical attitude – you take ownership and think critically about what you're doing; You have a good command of English; Dutch is considered an advantage Department PACCAR Internal Audit is part of PACCAR Inc. and reports directly to the PACCAR Board of Directors through the Audit Committee. The department is responsible for managing Internal Audits and Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) 404 Compliance – a critical function ensuring the company meets stringent regulatory and financial reporting standards. The department consists of a team of 40 professionals globally: 31 team members headquartered in Bellevue, Washington state, USA, and 9 team members based in Eindhoven, The Netherlands. The SOX 404 program activities are mostly performed locally in Eindhoven, as well as at PACCAR Financial Europe Division and geographic locations, with potential continental travel opportunities. Requirements
Applicants must be pursuing a bachelor's or master's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, Economics, or a related field, and should have strong analytical, communication, and project management skills. Basic proficiency with Excel and Microsoft Office, an independent and proactive approach, and good English are expected; Dutch is an advantage.
