Job Description
Role Purpose Support and administer payroll processes to ensure accurate and timely employee payments in compliance with payroll procedures, company policies, and local legislative requirements. Contribute to delivering a high-quality payroll service while maintaining data accuracy and supporting employees with payroll-related inquiries. Key Tasks Administer payroll processes accurately and within established timelines and quality standards. Execute payroll activities, including salary payments, benefits, taxes, statutory deductions, and payroll accounting. Calculate payroll components such as overtime, shift allowances, commissions, bonuses, and other employee payments. Review payroll data, identify recurring errors or discrepancies, and resolve issues or escalate complex cases as appropriate. Support team members in resolving recurring payroll-related issues and queries. Maintain payroll records and documentation in line with company processes and compliance requirements. Prepare payroll reports for internal stakeholders, government authorities, and compliance purposes. Collect, verify, and process payroll-related data to ensure accuracy and completeness. Respond to and resolve employee payroll inquiries in a professional and timely manner. Build effective working relationships with internal stakeholders and collaborate across HR and other business functions. Your Profile Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Finance, Accounting or work experience in a related field. HR or Payroll certification is an advantage. Fluent Dutch and English More than 2 years of experience in payroll administration or a related HR function. Good understanding of payroll processes, taxation, compliance requirements, and HR operations. Experience working with payroll systems, HRIS, and SAP is preferred. Strong analytical skills with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail. Ability to identify issues, solve problems independently, and escalate when necessary. Strong customer service and stakeholder management skills. Excellent communication skills and ability to explain payroll-related topics clearly.
Core Responsibilities
Administer accurate and timely payroll, including salary payments, benefits, taxes, statutory deductions, and variable compensation, while maintaining compliant records and preparing reports. Resolve payroll discrepancies and employee inquiries, support colleagues with recurring issues, and collaborate with HR and other internal stakeholders.
Requirements
Requires a bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Finance, or Accounting, or relevant work experience; an HR or payroll certification is an advantage. Candidates should have more than two years of payroll or related HR experience, knowledge of payroll processes and compliance, strong analytical and communication skills, and preferably experience with payroll systems, HRIS, and SAP.
