Description of assignment

The Vanderlande Distribution Service Desk plays a mission-critical role in providing 24/7 service and operational support to high-tech customer sites worldwide. Delivering high-quality support relies heavily on seamless coordination, reliable resource allocation, and real-time visibility into engineer availability across global teams.

Currently, resource planning is fragmented across multiple standalone tools and complex, VBA-based Excel spreadsheets. This legacy setup leads to single-user constraints, manual inefficiencies, high maintenance complexity, and operational risks that can impact our 24/7 availability.

In this challenging assignment, you will take ownership of designing a unified, modern, and scalable planning solution. You will analyze global stakeholder requirements, research potential technologies, design a clear software architecture, and build a functional proof of concept. Your work will directly eliminate administrative friction and improve global operational efficiency across Vanderlande's Service Desk organization.
