Are you eager to shape the future of HR development within a global leader? Following the introduction of our new HR Operating Model, Vanderlande established a clear structure for our HR community. To support our HR Partners as they advance into more complex roles, we are looking for a driven student to help build a clear growth journey for them.


In this graduation assignment, you will define the core skills, competencies, and business knowledge required at each level of HR partnering. By combining internal interviews, external benchmarks, and academic research, you will design a straightforward career and capability framework. Your findings will provide clear development pathways, helping HR Partners grow with confidence and deliver strong business impact.


Department description

You will be based at Vanderlande’s global headquarters in Veghel, reporting directly to the HR Partner Lead Netherlands. You will work closely with colleagues across the HR function, engaging with stakeholders to gather insights into the capabilities that drive effective HR partnering.

This position provides clear exposure to both operational and strategic HR initiatives. You will build a strong network across the organization and have the opportunity to join HR team discussions to see firsthand how HR supports business growth.


Tasks/responsibilities

  • Research current HR Partner development practices and review academic insights on HR business partnering
  • Benchmark career frameworks, competency models, and capability-building approaches from other leading companies
  • Conduct interviews and workshops with HR stakeholders to capture key requirements and growth needs
  • Analyze findings to define core competencies, experiences, and growth criteria per functional level
  • Design a practical HR Partner Career & Capability Framework with clear development pathways
  • Create engaging presentations to communicate recommendations and framework outcomes to stakeholders

 


 Your profile

  • Strong passion for HR strategy, organizational development, and capability building
  • Excellent analytical, research, and stakeholder communication skills
  • Curious, proactive, and comfortable working independently on strategic projects
  • Strong English communication skills, with proficiency in PowerPoint and research methods
  • *Mandatory enrolment to a Dutch Education System & resident of The Netherlands

What we offer

  • A monthly internship allowance (based on a 40-hour work week):
    Bachelor: €500 per month
    Master: €550 per month
  • Full commuting allowance, including public transport, depending on whether you have access to free public transport or not

Requirements
