Job Description
For our Equipment department in Area Benelux, we are looking for a Supervisor Maintenance & Repair (M&R) who combines technical knowledge with strong leadership and a continuous improvement mindset.
In this role, you will play an important part in ensuring that our container equipment is inspected, maintained and repaired according to Hapag-Lloyd standards and in a cost-efficient way.
You will be responsible for the day-to-day management of the M&R team and act as the link between the team, the Senior Manager Equipment, internal departments and external partners.

Responsibilities
- Coordinate and oversee the daily activities, priorities and workload of the M&R team.
- Lead, coach and support team members, providing input for performance and development discussions.
- Ensure inspections, repairs, estimates and claims are handled correctly and according to Hapag-Lloyd standards.
- Monitor repair costs, invoices and off-hire estimates, identifying opportunities for cost reduction and cost avoidance.
- Monitor the quality and performance of depots, terminals and other service providers.
- Identify bottlenecks and implement process improvements to increase efficiency, quality and transparency.
- Report on operational performance, repair costs and relevant issues.
- Work closely with internal departments and external partners, acting as the main escalation point for M&R-related matters.

Core Responsibilities
The Supervisor M&R is responsible for managing the daily activities and performance of the maintenance and repair team to ensure container equipment meets company standards. They act as the primary liaison between internal departments and external partners while identifying opportunities for cost reduction and process efficiency.
Requirements
The ideal candidate possesses strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills with a proactive, hands-on approach. Technical knowledge of container maintenance and repair is highly preferred, along with the ability to work effectively under pressure.
