Case Manager – Verzuim (32-40 uur) De Case Manager ondersteunt werknemers bij de reïntegratie na ziekte of ongeval. De Case Manager geeft advies en begeleiding, opdat de werknemer zich op het belangrijkste kan concentreren tijdens de reïntegratie – hun gezondheid. Je zal de vrijheid hebben om deze rol te vormen, maar enkele van de verantwoordelijkheden zijn: Opzetten van een case management beleid (ziekteverzuim-reïntegratie) binnen de organisatie Verdere ontwikkeling van ons vitaliteits- en ziekteverzuimbeleid Adviseren van (buitenlandse) leidinggevenden over de acties tijdens de eerste twee ziektejaren Overzien en op de hoogte brengen van de verzuimdossiers, in het kader van de Wet Verbetering Poortwachter, inclusief de daarop volgende zorgvuldige en accurate verslaggeving Aanspreekpunt zijn voor de ARBO-dienst Wat breng jij mee als Case Manager? Uiteraard heb je een afgeronde opleiding als Case Manager op zak. Werk je graag op onze locaties in Assen/Groningen met de nodige thuiswerk flexibiliteit. Daarnaast Heb jij een goede beheersing van de Engelse en Nederlandse taal in woord en geschrift Ben jij al meerdere jaren werkzaam in een soortgelijke rol. As an Sick Leave Case Manager, you will take ownership of a diverse portfolio of absence cases, ranging from short-term absences to complex long-term disability and reintegration trajectories. You will partner closely with employees, managers, HR Business Partners, Occupational Health Physicians, Labour Experts, and external service providers to ensure timely interventions, legal compliance, and successful reintegration outcomes. What You Will Do Through your expertise, coaching skills, and ability to influence others, you will help employees take an active role in their recovery and return-to-work process while supporting managers in navigating complex absence-related challenges. Key Responsibilities Include Manage and coordinate the end-to-end absence management process in line with the Dutch Gatekeeper Improvement Act (Wet verbetering poortwachter). Advise, coach, and support managers on absence management and return-to-work matters. Guide employees throughout their recovery and reintegration journey. Identify potential risks, opportunities, and barriers within absence cases and take proactive action. Collaborate closely with Occupational Health Physicians, occupational health providers, Labour Experts, and other internal and external stakeholders. Monitor legal deadlines, case documentation, and overall process quality. Analyze absence trends and provide recommendations for preventive and sustainable employability initiatives. Contribute to the continuous improvement of absence management practices, policies, and employee wellbeing programs. Your Profile You are a highly skilled professional who is able to build trust, navigate complex situations, and influence stakeholders at all organizational levels. You are equally comfortable operating at an operational, tactical, and strategic level and can balance competing interests while maintaining focus on sustainable outcomes. Required Qualifications And Experience Bachelor's degree or equivalent level of education and professional experience. At least 3 to 5 years of experience in absence management or case management. In-depth knowledge of the Dutch Gatekeeper Improvement Act (Wet verbetering poortwachter) and relevant social security legislation. Proven experience managing complex absence and return-to-work cases. Excellent communication skills in both Dutch and English. Strong stakeholder management, influencing, and advisory skills. Requirements

The role requires a bachelor's degree or equivalent education and experience, at least 3–5 years of absence or case management experience, and in-depth knowledge of Dutch reintegration and social security legislation. Candidates should have experience with complex cases, excellent Dutch and English communication, strong advisory and stakeholder skills, and a proactive, empathetic, independent approach.

Onsite at ICON's 120-bed early phase clinical research unit. Since 2008 we have conducted more than 400 Phase 1 studies. Our experienced staff works to safely and efficiently manage our studies for both healthy and conditioned patients. Every study is different, however most trials require overnight stays and outpatient visits. Our medical facility aims to put our volunteers at ease while working to move medicine forward.
